McCain to balance budget

No, not his budget. He and Cindy will continue to spend her millions as they wish. But he's expected to tell the American people today that he'll balance the Federal budget by the end of his first term. He'll use the "savings" from "victory" in Iraq and Afghanistan to do it. Now exactly what "savings" he'll get there is confusing. Does that mean he's going to withdraw troops from both countries? The military says they need more troops in Afghanistan so it's difficult to see where a "savings" is going to come from.

But here's his economic plan for your consideration:

and Politico's article on the plan:

An Obama supporter has absolutely no call to point fingers at McCain, or anybody else, concerning government finances. That's like a KKK member calling somebody else "intolerant".

I'm not pointing fingers. I just put it out here for discussion. Want to discuss it? Maybe you have the answer to question about the "savings" from our "victory" in Iraq and Afghanistan. The only way we're going to "save" anything is for McCain to declare victory and bring the troops home. And that's ok with me. Even then, I question the "savings" because much of the money we're spending there is borrowed from China, etc. It seems to me that we won't be "saving", we'll just not be borrowing as much as we are now. But I'm ready to hear your thoughts on the matter instead of personal slams. If you have a thought, that is.
