McCain was just on C-SPAN speachifying- and arguing against the Omnibus Bill because the bill again shuts down the Mexican truckers from operating in the US- something Congress already passed twice to stop- but Bush refused to enforce- which put many US truckers/trucking firms out of business since the Mexicans were allowed to operate without the same regulation/rules/inspections as US truckers as well as utilyze Mexican government subsidized fuel....

What did Michelle Malkin call McCain- La Raza's man in Washington... :???:

I do have to give Senator Sessions an atta boy tho for following shortly after and supporting keeping the E-Verify in the bill- and ripping into those that dropped it from the Jobs/Stimulus bill- and reminding folks of all the jobs lost to the illegals...

Mexico: Trucking Program May End
New York Times
ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: March 6, 2009
The United States Congress is preparing to cut off the money for a pilot program that opened the way for up to 500 Mexican trucks from 100 operators to drive deep into the United States. The United States has allowed only a handful of Mexican trucks to drive beyond a southern border buffer zone, although it agreed when it signed the North American Free Trade Agreement to allow Mexican trucks full access to American roadways beginning in 1995. If the United States does not comply with the Nafta agreement, Mexico can take retaliatory action like placing or raising tariffs on American goods. If the funding for the program is finally ended by Congress, Mexico will keep open all its options, said Arturo Sarukhan, Mexico’s ambassador to the United States, “including retaliation.”

So- you think a treaty thats never been ratified by the Senate as the Constitution calls for should take precedent over US sovereignty, US workers, US public safety, and states rights... :???:

Why worry about all this states rights legislation or all this Constitutional bickering if one President and one Congress can sign it away forever anyway :???:

Don't get huffy with me, Fatman.

I'll slap the taste out of your mouth!

Look, I ain't a big Nafta fan. Never have been. But when Congress gave Clinton the Fasttrack approval to sign Nafta, they had to know that he was gonna strip all the Pro USA Ag-related stuff out that Bush 1 had inserted in the original agreement.

For all I care.....the Dems made their bed. Let them sleep in it...............

Who was president in '95 :D

Clinton-- so does that make it legal/OK to throw out the constitution- and give up sovereignty and states rights... :???:

But back to the subject- Why is your former chosen Champion backing Mexican truckers over US truckers, US citizens safety, and US states rights, and the sovereignty of our Congress to pass legislation and/or fund/not fund programs... :???:

Yes -- No. No and certainly not.

I can't answer the rest since I have not talked to him in over a dozen years now. The only thing we see is what the media wants us to see.
