OH oh-- your championed hero doesn't believe in what most of you spout on here-- and is changing the Repubs one more time in his image- going even more Liberal :shock: :lol: :lol:

While the 2004 platform did not mention global warming, the draft document Republican delegates took up today in committee includes a one-page section “addressing climate change responsibly.” For the first time, the platform acknowledges that human activity has contributed to global warming: “The same human activity that has brought freedom and opportunity to billions has also increased the amount of carbon in the atmosphere. Increased atmospheric carbon has a warming effect on the earth.”

Members of the GOP platform committee voted Wednesday to stick with an energy plank that doesn't mention drilling in the refuge, saying it would only highlight an area where they differ with the Arizona senator. McCain opposes drilling in that protected land,
==========
The panel turned back a move to deny citizenship to U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants. Opponents raised constitutional concerns and said the proposal would complicate life for McCain, who has sponsored legislation giving illegal immigrants a path toward legal status

=============
Committee member Trey Grayson of Kentucky called the document "the greenest platform we've ever had." But it lacks an explicit endorsement of McCain's call for mandatory cuts in emissions in a federal cap and trade program that goes beyond anything supported by President Bush.

Sadly GW killed Conservatism as we knew it-by falsely protraying that his neocon thinking is conservative-- and I don't think it will ever be seen again....

The get drunk to gag down McGreen folks are gulping down 1/2 a case today on these ones.... :wink: :lol: :lol: :p

This has been posted before- but if you haven't watched it- take the time to watch it...I can see why Obama or Pelosi is for wide open immigration/citizenship- because it means 20-30 million more Democrats-- but I can't for the life of me see why Bush/McSame/the current neocon Repubs want to allow it- except for the fact they care only about today and the Lobbyist money they are pocketing..... :(

Conversely, this type of legislation could mean 20-30 million more Republicans for the exact same reasons.

In the case of a Bi-Partisan "Immigrant" agreement, the winner will be who the media chooses.

To quote a Civil War General: The winner is whoever gets there "fustest with the mostest".

Historically- immigrants have either been mostly the lower level working class folks- or the highly educated that are brought here because of their education/skills as profesionals- and both those groups have historically gone Democrat by 60-70%....

I fully agree that the lower level working immigrants that are overwhelmingly uneducated vote DEM. :lol: But most don't vote at all.

But the professional immigrants are mostly citizens soon after entry and their voting record is not so cut and dry.

The fact is though... that whoever gets to the table to give amnesty to these uneducated immigrants first will get their vote.

It's a conundrum that the U.S. citizen doesn't need.

But you don't understand. McCain was a POW!

That ones getting a little old-- even the conservative news media are saying he's used it a little too heavy as an excuse for everything from his philandering- leaving his crippled wife- keating 5 scandal- his flipflops- why his memory is bad-- to now why he wants so many houses :roll:

Kind of like Biden commented about Gagliani in the debates- every sentence of his is a noun, a verb, and 9/11.... :wink:
Everyone of McSames is "but I was a POW"....

I agree, which is why I just don't think I can let myself vote for either of these two guys.

Your in the same boat I'm in - but the cultist (R's) and (D's) will continue to pull the lever just because of an initial- most without even knowing 1/10th of the truth about either...
