Young man and neighbor who is proudly serving our country in the US Air Force. His older brother is currently defending our freedom in Iraq as part of the US Army. Thanks Jacobs boys and their family for standing guard over our wonderful country!

This family lives north of us and creatively brought their original homestead to town using a stackmover.

I wonder if this ol' fellas legs are tired and sore this morning. He sharped his sickle by hand through the whole parade route.

We also enjoyed our visit with ranchers.netter "Frank in West Dakota" Frank if you have any photos, please be sure to post, of the Centennial doings or your ranch!

I bet those old settlers would have never guessed their homesteads would one day become mobile homes  Interesting parade. Thanks for showing us....I didn't even have to go out in the hot sun to watch!

WELL DONE, McIntosh, SD!!!!!!!

FH: The number of entries equalled about a third of McIntosh's population, so they did very well to have as much participation as they did! They also have an annual all school reunion that folks come from far and wide to attend.

   Ol' time mobile homes...now that cracks me up!

You know it wasn't even very hot...some where around 70 I'd say, but it did warm up during the car and tractor show.

Our town hosts it's Centennial in 2010. I hope we can meet the standard McIntosh has set.

Nice group of pictures TTB. I believe BMR is right, I have never sen one of these tractors, but they were advertised in farm papers about 1939. I believe they called them a Culti-trac. About that time IHC sold the A and the B Farmall, These had the engine offset so you could so the crop you were working, They called this cult-vision.

I was hopin' nobody would get a pic of me on the bank.
I guess I have a little "pull" having that view, my wife works there, and I was taking pic's for the centennial book, convinced myself and others, I needed a good view!
I don't think I could post all of the 300+ photos I took. As for the really good ones..........you'll have to read the book.
