Here's Ty and Sara-about ten minutes after I took this Ty rattled a nice little buck up within 20 yards of us-Sara wanted me to take him but I passed him up. She's got her hunter safety so she starts hunting this year.

You got me in trouble NR-- Grandma called to see what I was doing and I told her I was looking at some Canadian wet-T-Shirt pictures

My grandson loves to run thru the sprinkler in his birthday suit- freedom of movement I guess  Isn't bad out here where there is no one to see him, as long as he doesn't keep doing it when hes home in town...

Soapweed does this little piece of heaven look familiar.

It sure does looks familiar. Grant County is our neighbor to the south.

We are in the process of getting some signs made for our county. The wording will be on two boards of three inch thick bridge plank, with native cedar posts for uprights. The top board will say, "Cherry County," and the second board will state--"God's Own Cow Country." Our goal is to have signs completed and erected by early summer at two locations. If they are well accepted, we will put up more next year. There are a total of seven locations that are entrances to Cherry County which are on main oiled highways.

Grant County is top-of-the-line cattle country, and the signs proudly proclaim their "bragging rights". We in Cherry County hope the new signs will also display pride in our cattle-producing way of life.

Yeah that trip through Nebraska went by too fast-I like that strong grass country.

The Nebraska part of our ranch is fairly decent, but just over the state line into South Dakota some of the pasture is pretty forlorn. Here are a few pictures taken just today, as proof.

This part of the pasture isn't even worth the price of real estate taxes, but what the heck, it looks good on the ranch map.
