Well night before last our water well went out. We did without that night, luckily we'd all had our showers before it went capoot.

Yesterday we took the lil electric controll box thingy to the well man and he repaired a part on it. Came home and put it back together, and .......nothin.........it didnt fix it.

So this mornin bright and early...or maybe I should say dreary and early and COLD....I had to call the well man to come out. They came....and had to pull the well.

1 new pump, and two new joints of pipe later plus $1308.00 we now have water.

Sure do appreciate those guys comin out in this weather to fix it......but man what a whallup to the checkbook!!!! And I'm glad to have runnin water again. Now I can get back to business of washin clothes, dishes, cookin......etc.

Spoiled to water aren't we Lilly? I hope my electricity doesn't go off with this storm. I hate going a couple days without water. Everything else I can do without . We cook and heat with Propane so that goes on the same.
Merry Christmas BTW.

I was just talking with a neighbor before dinner and they'd had a well problem over Thanksgiving (with a house full of company of course  )

They uncovered the well before the well diggers got there only to find the last electrician they'd hired had run the conduit right over the cement top of the well   The well person wouldn't touch it until they got the electrician back...a few days late. I'm eager to see who has to pay for such a cheap and dirty job.

We are really on a roll.....my microwave fried last week while I was meltin butter to go in a pecan pie for Thanksgivin.........my main burner (the biggest one) don't wanna work half the time.......then the well....and after we finally got water goin again I started washin clothes......it'll fill up to wash, but when it comes time to rinse it barely dribbles a lil water in the tub then quits.....so I hafta manually go in and turn the knob back to wash to fill it up...let it aggitate a lil while...then go drain it and spin......a flat tire on the truck two days ago, and a flat tire on the horse trailer yesterday.......(both tires were almost brand new)

All my rinse choices are in cold........I"m thinkin there's somethin blockin the line in the cold. Since we were runnin on water hoses last night from Father in Law's well, prolly somethin in one of the water hoses that plugged it up. But as of right now, tryin to get everthang ready to leave on a weekend trip tomorrow mornin.....that aint gonna get looked at till we get back. I"m keepin my fingers crossed....don't need to spend no more money for a while, if we don't hafta. LOL

Some hoses have screens in them at the faucet. If not the fill valve has screens in it. I bet you're just stopped up with trash. The hot water goes through the water heater first and you lget rid of the trash in there on the hot side.

Lilly: Don't you just love weeks like this; NOT! Unfortunely we all have them ; the only thing to look forward to is that maybe all the crap has happened and it'll be a smooth run into the new year!
