OOP'S This calf was'nt expected born in a snowbank he got right with the program and never had any outside help on a -17 below night. The cow was smart enough to have him out of the wind.

Those Minnesota Meadow Munchers look fat and fancy Denny.

We have an unplanned but expected calf or two or more due about the end of February. One bull escaped overnight about the 20th or May. The question is who are the moms to be? With any luck they should tell us a few days before they calve.

BTW, what is that pile of round things doing in the middle of the field? :p

That pile of round things in the middle of the field would make a dandy spot for an ambush site on deer! :D Was the new calf planned?

The spot actually is a good coyote hunting spot and the calf was a total surprise.

Good looking livestock, Denny. I was quite impressed with the area where you live, when we passed through last summer. It looks like productive ranch country.
