I have a friend that wants me to invest in one of these bulls.
I had never heard of this site. Thought I'd get your thoughts.
Looks like these people know how to make money in the
minature longhorn business.

Well if they are selling those cattle for those prices you might want to get involved  If a person can't make money on those cattle at those prices they're doing something wrong

edit:
Probably like other fad animals though, by the time a person gets into it the money is gone

"They are more like puppies than cattle, but you should never trust a bull if there is a cow in season"

Ah, Vigortone will take care of the bad feet. :p

Seriously, my friend tells me that anything minature has
bad feet. They did get a minature brahma that had bad feet,
and pygmy goats...fed them Vigortone and have never had
to trim their feet. Seriously.

A buddy of mine got into the ostrich craze 20 years ago. He paid good money for two pairs. Trouble was ostrich burgers never took off and the only folks who made money were the folks selling breeding stock to the folks who had no market for ostrich. It was worth it though. Those big old birds got loose one day and I got to witness my buddy chasing them down the road mounted on a mean red roan mule. Apparently a little known fact about ostriches is that they severly dislike mules and if they could'a been flying they would have. :D That old roan mule didnt care much for giant flightless birds either as every time Scott would get close enough to head off the birds, he'd swap directions and attempt to head for home. I would of got out and helped but it is tough to do that when you are laughing hysterically while laying on the ground. Moral of the story is this..... Buy into that mini-me longhorn ranch only with the condition you get to buy Scott's mule for roundup time.

Breed: Yak Quantity: 90 head Price: $95,000.00 Cdn
Yak herd for sale. Mixture of royal, trim and black yaks. Includes 35 cows with at least 30 bred cows, 28 heifers, 32 bulls. Cows can produce calves for 20 years. Yaks eat about 1/3 the amount of a regular bovine. Easy to herd and non threatening, pretty to look at. Do very well in cold climate. No assistance needed during calving. Yaks produce very low cholesterol, lowfat meat with a very mild flavour. This herd has had no hormones or anitbiotics and is fed hay grown on our farm.
