Missed you all for awhile

but I'm baaaack!

We've been busy with family visits and the death of my father-in-law in May. He was spared much pain and had lived a very full 94 years so we all have to be thankful.

Last Monday my gallbladder went bye-bye, but will spare you the color photos. Showed them to a friend who said he'd wouldn't be able to eat scrambled eggs ever again. Modern out-patient surgery surely is great.

Anyway it is good being back to Ranchers and seeing, well, not much has changed!

Glad to have you back, nr! I've missed your opinions and points of view. Sorry to hear about your FIL, though, but like you said he had a full life. My FIL has been afflicted with Alzheimers for the last few years, May 30th he finally ended up in the hospital and when they find a room for him, a nursing home. He just turned 83 last week.

Welcome back, nr. Sorry for your loss of family and hope you recover quickly from your surgery. Mrs. Maple Leaf had hers removed laproscopic (sp?) style a few years ago and had very little disturbance to her routine! She felt a whole lot better with it out, too!

Glad your back and sorry for your loss, but the big question is, can you still play the fiddle, after the operation?

And when are you coming to visit again. I promise to be good, this time!

Shelly, sorry to hear about your father-in-law's Alzheimers. My mother had that for many years. It really turns a dear person into someone they're not and is the hardest thing to watch "progressing".

Jinglebob- I can play the fiddle just as well post-surg as pre-surg.
Thank you for the invite and wish we could just jump out for another visit.
Maybe it's your turn to jump East for a visit here. We'd enjoy having you two (and Hope)- just let us know and I'll arrange some fencing work to keep you from getting homesick.

Thank you- I'm really feeling great now. Last night the book group met at our house and there was a shall we say mixed response to my gallstones in an empty sugarbowl on the table.

When I had my surgery and went back for my last ck-up. I tried to be so exact with my questions.

So I asked the Dr., " What was the pathology on the gallbladder?", in my most sincere and curious voice.

He waited a bit and said, " It looked like shite"!!

So much for trying to be proper!!!!

Sounds like he was trying to cut a potentially lengthy and time consuming discussion in the bud :? Did he succeed? Me thinks that would be a no in your case :!:
