Monster bucks

Thought some of ya'll might like to see what is hitting the ground so far this year. My time spent guiding has gained me lots of fellow deer fanatics who have my email and they send me tons of stuff. This buck was taken with Vaquero Outfitters in Arizona. It is the pending archery world record. WOW! 240 gross inches of deer antler!

This buck was taken on Utah's Henry Mountains and will be the new state record archery typical. 34.5 inches wide scores 228 gross.

I'm with you.Their nice but I think I'd scrape the velvet off if possible.

Timberwolves have been busy here my daughters boyfriend lost a cow the other day. We had one(BIG COYOTE) come out in the hayfield last week.

A full velvet buck is a pretty neat trophy-Ty got one in early bow season that was almost pefect but had peeled just a bit. Not many people have a good one.

I have killed a couple of velvet bucks but have never had one mounted. One was a 27 inch 4 by 4 and one was a 28 inch 5 by 6. Looking back, I wish i'd put one of them on the wall because they were archery bucks. But I like hard horned better. That being said, I'd shoot any of the bucks I posted before you could blink an eye! :D

Nothing like the look of a late rut buck with dark horns. I even like that ground up willow smell they get around the bases. Your right I'd be flinging pointy sticks at those dudes too. Hopefully I get south with Ty to get after some mulies-the pastiure he's riding in is full of game so he's loving his job.
