I have been involved in thousands of mineral claims and many wildcats in the u.s.

My favorite state to deal with on minerals is Utah--the 'beehive' state believes in working.

But my favorite country to do business in is Canada---far more of a 'develope the resource' mentality.

U.S. people --many are spoiled and unrealistic. Want the best, cheapest, handiest----and evidently think it comes from some kinda magic genie in a bottle---quite frustrating.

yep... that might explain why most of them voted for an anti-energy president twice..

Seriously Steve, what could they have been thinking? Well, I guess the answer is pretty clear, NOTHING.

Give a community organizer with well-documented leftist leanings the keys to the country and this is what you get. Had it happened a few generations ago, the country could probably have recovered. That it happened at the worst time in our history makes it all the more maddening.

Shut up Joe you lost your right to complain when you voted for the idiot in 2008 and 2012. As far as Utahan's being workers you finally got one right, but than they didn't vote for the idiot. Now Warren Buffet owns BN railroad and if there was a pipeline he couldn't ship all that oil by rail and make BILLIONS now for shits and giggles look and see how much he gave the idiots campaign...... Joe there is a village looking for you somewhere.

I don't think the little feller claims to have been stupid enough to have voted for the magic negro twice, only once. Of course, being stupid enough to have voted for him once is, well, stupid enough.

"Of course, being stupid enough to have voted for him once is, well, stupid enough." Good one!

But---this is an ongoing mindset---was there before Obama and will probably continue after. People in U.S. somehow feel entitled, want the goodies w/o mine dumps, pipelines, powerlines---no logical thought process involved.

Dear W.T.---which evidently stands for 'Wanker Teacher?" I vote, I served, I pay my taxes, I'll say anything I jolly well feel like---suggest you go back to mommy's basement and continue on with chosen avocation. Don't put yer eye out!

Those anti energy nuts in Montana (Californian Obama voters) don't want trains, trucks really are a less desirable alternative, and they really don't want pipelines ( if you really care about the environment, pipelines are your baby).
Like Al internet Gore, they want to enjoy the niceities and benefits of energy and mineral production with out any sort of supportive costs. I think they really hate profits in the energy sector and use environmental excuses, and they nearly all are Obama voters.

bitemebradley, you gotta get over this obamahorseshit--these morons were here before big o, will be after. and as far as stupidity---the 'opposition' is so pathetic they came in second to Obama. got their pictures next to 'loser' in latest funk and wagnells. shitfahr, biteme---they run in packs on this board and declare 'victory' on a frequent basis. got one ol' dufus who lives in a storage container---I have sent thousands of dollars to board idlers to hose this ol' prks boars nest out and they're too lazy to even do that, fer one of their own, no less...sad....

I agree the pussyleft precedes Obama, but he is one of them in spades. Keystone pipeline? New EPA over reach. Sure they're more numbered than Obama. As for the coalition of losers reaching a majority, pretty much the tragedy of our times. 8% lower per capita earnings, but we are going to really get rich people. How many Obama voters know you can't persecute or enslave money, or where the Kennedy drug fortune is? Damn few.

I'm missing the joke on the shipping containers. Halliburton has a cool man camp in Williston built out of them, and in Alexander there is a hotel where they made 2 rows stacked 2 high and covered the area in between with a tarp shed like Fremont street in Vegas.

Those anti energy nuts in Montana (Californian Obama voters) don't want trains

the fact is they don't want energy,.. unless it is magic energy ,..

if we went totally to renewable energy.. (which at this point is impossible)

they would start attacking those with the same fanaticism as they are now attacking coal and oil...

solar would be to dirty to manufacture,.. dams change a river.. wind kills birds...

is there anything else? all energy has problems... but if they hold up progress we are left with aging infrastructure..

a new coal plant is much cleaner then an old coal plant, ... but the chances of building a modern coal plant today is near impossible..
