I've always wanted to go out there this time of year to experience all the fall colors. BMR asks a good question. Is dry matter a problem?

That is what I thought immediately as well, unless it is just the pics.
Nice looking cattle PATB . :)
Are they getting a good mineral even though they are on that amazingly lush and beautiful grass.

Copper and selenium are problems here and need to be supplemented at a higher rate. The cows are on free choice mineral with high rates of copper and selenium. Some of the red color is from sun bleaching after dewormer application. The grass this time of year has more substance than the spring flush grass does. The pastures are set up to be grazed every 40 to 60 days thru out the growing season into the fall.
