How do you know if they are edible? Way way back when it used to rain here we had a lot of them along a corn field where I had spred a lot of manure, they looked like yours and smelled good sure wanted to eat some but did not want to die.

we been eating them for over 30 years, these are just a meadow mushroom, we see anything new we show then to a few mushroom hunter we know be for trying. Along with a mushroom field guide

I'm totally with BMR. They would be mighty tasty on a steak.... :D

When we were in SW Montana we had people come out and hunt mushrooms. I guess I should have paid more
attention or asked some questions.

I sure miss the morels and fiddleheads first thing in the spring. They don't seem to grow out here. AND the wild leeks! Not like the ones in the store. If you wanted to enjoy the leeks it was best you just ate them out in the bush where you dug em. Boy they ere strong!!

Hey you are a newly wed :D :D better stay away from those leeks :shock:

It would put a crimp in the romance, :lol: :lol: :nod:
