Moving some cows

We brought the cows home last week, pregged everything and then moved them across a highway

around the last wheel line and then the real test... the highway!

success! the road is crazy busy, and I'm not talented enough to take pictures while riding a horse, moving cows and making sure my 7 yr old was keeping up, so you'll just have to use your imagination!

we've since had probably 1 1/2 feet of snow, so the guys have had to start feeding some.... so much for an open winter!

Did the snow get up to Carey? SIL was saying how dry and snowless it was a week or two back.
Those two co-pilots are quite the pair of "hams"
Your cattle look like they are going into winter in good shape. I sure don't miss moving cows on busy highways.

Regards, Dave

I would bet they did, we had nothing until the 12th of Dec (day before pics), but we've gotten hammered in the last day or 2, we prob. had 10 inches last night, the skating rink project keeps getting covered up with snow!

Just the thought of that calving date makes me shiver and feel tired. :(

I was just thinking ho many guys were maybe hoping for a different winter and doing some grazing. We got our cows off of pasture Dec 12. The owner of the place was anxious to get some ditch work done, kinda glad he did push us now. It is easier taking care of cows at on place set up for winter feeding,

Glad all went well, looks like a good crew. Hmmmm... Should we define a good crew as any crew that can have a photographer tag along? LOL,

Merry Xmas,

PPRM
