DIL came and helped me move the heifers we spayed the other day. With her help and the dog and the pup, things went well.

Mission accomplished! :)

If you look up the word "stupid" in the dictionary, there is a picture of a yearling heifer!

Jinglebob, your country looks awesome. And those heifers look really good too, at this distance anyway.

Good work!!! I hope you two really enjoyed the day, each other, the dogs, the horses and the cattle too!!! Don't we have a lot to be thankful for?

Or a steer!

Great pics, Jingle! I can't believe how green it is there already!

Nope, steers are stupid, but not as stupid as heifers. And that is not a chuvanist reply, that is experience! :!:

We have both and the steers are only slightly smarter than the heifers. I think it has something to do with hormones!

Yup, this ol' country is awful purty when she's got her spring clothes on!

Yes, we did have a grand time and I was thankful. The pup is starting to learn and his signal to chase something is the word, "kill".

He's sure good about making sure no jackrabbits get mixed into the bunch.

There were about 90 head in this bunch and I kicked them out with their steer mates and then moved the whole bunch by myself and the dogs a couple of days later, with good results. I even wore my slicker towards the end and is was growlimng and grumbling and spitting a little.

Ol' Reb saved the day when a wild jackrabbit tried to attack them poor defenseless critters. But he took to him and run him off, thus averting a disaster!

If I could raise cattle and horses any color I wanted, I'd have green ones!

I wonder if that is why John Deere's are so popular? :???: :D
