Why only Democratic leaning counties?

The state Republican Party this week challenged the eligibility of 6,000 registered Montana voters in seven counties historically considered Democratic strongholds.

More than half of the people challenged statewide live, or previously lived, in Missoula County.

After reading the article sounds like they're just trying to make sure the voting is on the "up and up" come election day. Dems have been doing this for years. Heck Gore even questioned the votes of the overseas military in theelection and Kerry tried the same thing in 2004. Wanted to throw them out if not letter perfect.

So why only Dem leaning counties in MT? Why not the entire state? Surely if they're concerned about voting being on the up and up, they'd also be concerned about Republican leaning counties?

Because Dems have consistently been connected with voter fraud.

We have lots of dead voters voting down here every election. In fact, the Attorney General has about a dozen different primary elctions he's investigating now.

Why have the Dems been fighting the practice of showing an ID to vote?

Yep you guessed it!

Easy- because many of those voting Democrat- or Independent and voting for real CHANGE- Obama/Biden- are the young and educated at the colleges- and in the college communities that have had $Zillions in debt stuck upon them by the Bush/McBusch policy and have heard enough of the "Fiscal Responsibile Conservatives- and have had enough of their bullpuckey--- and that are least apt to have longtime permanent address's......

Quite simple-- the Repubs of today no longer represent the policies and beliefs of our future........All you have to look at is all the old grey haired $Zillionaires that were in multi thousand dollar fashion designer outfits and $3,000 Armani suits that made up the crowd of the Repub Convention....
They've lost all reality of the nation and the future...... :( :(

"The state Republican Party cross-referenced the relatively new statewide voter database with the National Change of Address database, a commercial software system for direct marketers, in order to identify electors who aren't living where they are registered to vote. The targeted counties had the highest number of discrepancies, Eaton said."

So, according to the article, the highest number of discrepancies, otherwise known as instances of voter fraud, are in traditionally Democratic strongholds. Yup, that sounds about right.

The search for Montanans who have failed to update their address on their voter registration was sparked by comments made by Gov. Brian Schweitzer to the American Association for Justice at a meeting in Philadelphia this summer, Eaton said.

“With Schweitzer's recent comments about rigging the '06 election, that brought everyone in the state to a new level of suspicion and awareness of the integrity of our elections,” he said.

Not positive but as I recall Conrad Burns won every county in MT except Missoula.

if everythings on the up and up, what's the problem??
People are just complaining because they actually have to do the job they took!!
