Much Needed Moisture

Just mostly a slow drizzle all day here...So far we picked up .25 down on the river place- and .35 up on the north place/summer pasture...
Nice day today- but the wind is starting to come up out of the NW...

We were kind of dryslotted- as I heard of areas both east and west of us that had over 1/2 an inch so far...But still a 70% chance of more rain/snow tonight and tomorrow...

And the forecast is for 60's/70's by the weekend- and 70's for next week- which with this little shot of moisture should really get the grass going... :D

Glad to hear some places got moisture. We got thunder and lightening
early this morning and a few drops of rain. That was it. Kinda scary
with all this wind and the weather guys calling for 70% chance of
precip.
At one point they said for our area, "either a foot of snow or an
inch of rain, depending on the temperature."

Yep-- we had lightning and thunder too--- and my wife talked to a lady that lives 30 miles west- and she said they got hail at sunrise this morning

It doesn't sound like the weather guessers know what this thing is going to do in the next day or so...They still think it could spin up more rain/snow/wind and colder temps for tonight/tomorrow as it moves east and north into Canada..

And as an old fella thats been keeping track of the fog days told me yesterday- "better get everything seeded- and cows out on grass, because the 90 days past the fog moisture is about to start the end of the month-and its going to be a muddy May and June"....
I hope he is right.....

Me too. I couldn't remember when all that fog started, but thought it should result in moisture sometime in the last part of April.
I can't remember ever wanting it to green up as bad as I do this year.
Maybe that's due to all the snow we had for so long. At any
rate, I can hardly wait!

I didn't hobble out to the gauge but it sure softened the ground up. The ground was white with hail when Britt came home from work this morning. The grocery store parking lot in PW had an inch of water standing on it just while it rained hard for a short time. :D
