i was very leary about clicking on this vidieo after your post about the pictures of the ladies
but that is a neat vidieo
i can't belive the calf was still alive and got up and back in the herd
until later

The worst part of this whole thing is when that calf grows up and goes to his favorite watering hole, who's going to believe him!
Lions had me by the front end and gators were pulling on my back end!
YEA RIGHT! Have another drink!

Bet them lions are thinking little Gazelles are safer!!

That is amazing video!

We'll never know if injuries to the calf resulted in it's eventual death. My guess is that it did not survive and the lions got their fill anyway.

I wonder if this is common behavior in these herd animals to regroup for a rescue?

Its also interesting to see that they are using windmills on these game preserves.

Yep... Capes do do this and often.. Seen videos of it a few times.. Even some evidence of them attacking hunters that have killed herd mates but that might be assigning too much to the critters as it is more likely they are now associating humans with danger and have a very strong devloped figh response instead of flight.... Aggressive sons of guns and tough as nails..
