H had nothing to do with it unfortunately.
They'd throw a guy in jail to rot if ya even thought about dabbing a loop on a wild horse these days. I have grown up around these bands and there are some fine horseflesh in some of them. Grandpa always rode mustangs and my own dad chased and caught more than a few til the government decided to mismanage them. Now that's not totally true as the Utah horse superintendent is a guy i went to high school with and he has a brain. Sadly those he is surrounded with mostly are lacking brain power or too dang liberal to do anything more than use the horses as chess pieces in thier ploy to rid the west of cattle, mining, off-roading and pretty much anything else they are against. Off my soapbox now. :wink: I do love the mustangs and would be honored to follow my grandpa's footsteps and have some on my place. But can't bring myself to "adopt" one the BLM has and validate thier stupidity. :wink:gcreekrch

Hey H, you could adopt a few that you want and get your school chum to turn 'em back out for ya after they're branded. You should be able to recover escaped property shouldn't ya?
