My Question

I guess the more threads I read, the more remarks I've made, I've seen how we all act. My question is this why is it so many will quote the Bible in one thread and then be mean with remarks to a fellow man in the next? Do "good Christians" act snide and hurtful? Is flinging insults Christian like? Oh and no need to point out I've said a couple not so nice things as I don't recall quoting the Bible.

I guess it must be. I know I'm sure guilty of it and I probably ought to be a better man and a poorer sinner, but sometimes some people seem to get under my skin and I justr can't help myself. Good reminder tho'! I'll see if I can do better.

Do people who have difference of opinions get under our skin or the people who ask questions that we don't want to read get more under our skin (the ones that approach the touche subjects)? I guess I feel I can learn from differences. I don't have to agree with them but sometimes I do learn something. I'm still trying to debate what I am politically as Soapweed made a good enough point to me I'm still debating where I stand. :?

the answer is pretty simple. we are not perfect, and it is much easier to find your neighbors flaws than to find your own.....

Some people on this board are as bad as the radical Islamic fundamentalists. They claim to follow a religion that teaches love, but they support hate and war. Just shows you how smart our founding fathers were to put a wall between church and state.

I guess you are refering to me Dis. I believe in God, I think Jesus died on the cross for me, and I believe He has the almighty power.

and I believe in this war, I am all for killing those who need it. I do not for one minute think that we as a society can sit back and say "lets all just get along" when you have psychos out kidnapping and torturing and murdering innocent civilians. We will never win a war by fighting with rules, or running that war from D.C.

let the guys who are there make the call as to what needs done, and let them do it.

I am getting very tired of our men being over there under fire and the liberal media portraying them as invaders, bad guys, or reckless bandits. I say send in more troops, just start shooting anything that looks suspicious and let Allah sort out the bodies.

War is not for the squeemish, if Hitler were alive today, he would see that America has lost its balls, and he would rally Germans to conquor the world.

thanks all you liberal bleeding hearts for cutting America off at the knees.

If the shoe fits, wear it. I really am not here for a religious testimony.

A good Christian here. What happend to love your enemy. Turn the other cheek? There wouldn't be psychos out kidnapping and toruring and murdering innocent civilians if Bush hadn't chosen to invade Iraq.

There are rules of war. We abide by them because some day our own troops may be in a bad position. If the USA doesn't support the Geneva Convention, why should any other country? That puts our military at risk.

You're pretty disgusting. Thank goodness our military is better trained that you. Our boys shouldn't be over there. Bush had no more right to invade Iraq than Saddam had to invade Kuwait. You'd love to overlook that little fact. This incompetent bunch has put our military at risk for nothing, nothing, nothing.

War is not for the squeemish, if Hitler were alive today, he would see that America has lost its balls, and he would rally Germans to conquor the world.

Hitler declared war on the US. Saddam did nothing to this country. That you can support a president that sent Americans off to die for his own personal ego, amazes me.

thanks all you liberal bleeding hearts for cutting America off at the knees.

Yes, the Bush Bunch is busy trying to blame the media for losing this war. But it won't fly. They wouldn't be reporting dozens of dead civilian Iraqis every day, the lack of government, the refusal of the Shiites to work with the other groups, the private armies, the corruption, if it wasn't happening. And it's happening because the Bush Bunch didn't have a plan to stabilize the country after Saddam fell. The first General who was chosen to train the Iraqi military was amazed to find there was no plan in place until after Bush went on the "Lincoln" and declared the war won. He said that should have been one of the first priorities. It wasn't. There was no one to protect the Iraqi people from common thugs, murderers, kidnappers, etc., so they turned to the private militia of their tribe or religious group for protection. You can blame "liberals" all you want, but this is Bush's war and it's a mess.

you are a whiny blamer......I pity people like you, it is so sad.

Dis, have you ever been to Iraq?

Do you know the positive things that are going on there? Because there
are some positives.

You you lean so far to the left I bet you walk lop-sided.

Have you?

Not disagreeing that there are some positives, but I've never gotten this particular argument.
Most people whom I've seen ask the, "have you ever been in Iraq" question, haven't been there either...

No, I haven't been there. But I am not going to all the lengths to point out what a disaster it is over and over and over...

What goes on there, differs with who you choose to listen to and who I choose does not paint the same picture as who Dis listens to. I don't trust the mainstream news media one bit. They are on a mission, they don't just report the news, they report SLANTED news. That is NOT what their job is.

BTW, why did you answer a question that was NOT directed at you?

Because we're on a public message board and that's how they operate?

Usually if someone has a conversation they wish to carry in private, they go to private messages.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but they definately have an ax to grind. The more liberal networks try to paint how bad it is, the more consevative networks paint how great it is.

Every president finds a reason for war. They can't resist the power.
