Anyone familiar with this form of pneumonia? Was trying to diagnose a 10 month old 650lb 'healthy' steer that died today. Was fine up till yesterday when he went off feed and had bloody mucous discharge coming from his nose. This morning, dead as dead can be.
Reading my Merck Vet Manual, it mentions it being asymptomatic and quick to kill with no response to antibiotics. Never got the chance to use the antibiotics  . Lots of poor hay from last year and this area is known for mycotic spore infections in people.
