I watched the cbs evening news tonight, & they couldn't wait to attack Romney on this fundraiser video., in which all he did was basically tell the truth. I thought Scott Pelly was going to pee his pants out of excitement. They should be embarrassed after all the passes they have given Oblamea & Bonehead Biden.

Gmacbeef, do you realize that most of those 47%ers live in red states??? At least according to CNN. Man and did O'Reilly skip over this as fast as he could, he must have had to pay Colmes double to be as quiet as he was.

Good to see you are coming around, smalltime.

Obama has done a lousy job, and has bungled his chance. It is now time to let someone else give it a try. Romney is a genuine sort of person, that will do his best to guide this nation in a positive direction. The object for all of us now should be to defeat Obama. This won't happen if we throw our votes away on Ron Paul or Gary Johnson. Romney might not be the first choice of many of us, but at this point he is our BEST choice. Vote for Mitt Romney. :)

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.” ― Alexis de Tocqueville - Author of: "Democracy In America"

I understand and respect what you are saying Soapweed ,but,a vote for Gary Johnson is not a waste. He is by far the best man in the race, but,he wont be elected. If I had to make a choice between Obama and Richard Nixon I'd pull the lever for Dick a third time.

If you drive all the way to the polling place, and cast your vote for Gary Johnson, you are in reality giving a vote to Obama. Why waste the gas? Make your vote count. Vote for Romney. The votes Gary Johnson will receive would go to Romney rather than Obama, if Johnson's name wasn't on the ballot. If Gary Johnson truthfully had the best interests of the United States at heart, he would withdraw from the race.

I only reported what John King showed on CNN. Most of the states where the 47%ers were located were red states. Then Tam are you by your posting implying that all the 47%ers are on welfare. Big difference between receiving a welfare check and being a 47%er imo.

Although he didn't say it literally, Romney's audience of wealthy donors surely understood that "takers" were typically ethnic minorities on welfare and food stamps living in large cities in blue states in the North. It turns out that is not true, either. The nonpartisan Tax Foundation, which Romney has cited in the past as an objective source of information, wrote an article listing the percentage of people who paid federal income tax (the "makers") and who paid no federal income tax ("the takers"). It also produced a map (below) showing the top 10 "maker" states in blue and the top 10 "taker" states in red. Here is the map.

You are correct TSR-- and its funny, as this map shows, its the southern states - like Texas- where many of the whiners on this site come from- that can't take care of their own home turf and are in the top 10 of the "taker" states at the federal trough- with the highest Percentage
of Filers with No Liability...

Remember old "Tea Party Perry" himself whining about not getting his federal money fast enough :???:

Nope and that is not what I said... Like I said and the article and graphs point out-- Texas- with 39% of its filers paying no taxes- is #8 on the list of the whiny, lowlife, moocher, live off the the government entitlement type that Romney apparently wants nothing to do with...

Well you sure did say Texas was a top 10 "Taker" state at the Federal trough.

Are you trying to say what you didn't say with it quoted right here in front of you?

The map on page 1 and the table below show the percentage of tax filers in each state who have no income tax liability as well as the state's rank among the other 50 states. Nine of the ten states with the largest percentage of nonpayers are in the South and Southwest. In Mississippi, 45 percent of federal tax returns remit nothing or receive money with their federal tax returns; that is the highest percentage nationally. Georgia is next at 41 percent, followed by Arkansas at 41 percent, and Alabama, South Carolina, and New Mexico at 40 percent.

Notice you said "Filers with No tax liability"......can you say "BLACK ??? and "HISPANIC...AS IN ILLEGAL ALINES"....they pay no tax, yet they file and get thousands in refunds for EIC, etc.

These are the people that would NEVER vote anything but democrat because they have been bought and paid for....fortunately in most of those states there are enough hard working white middle class people to make sure the dem's don't carry most of those states.

NO...but he does know that there is no way in hell he can get those same whiney, lowlife, mooching, living off the gov't entitlement people to vote for him so why waste time and money?? He will deliver the message but you really think they'll hear?? Why don't you move them all to Montana,. It might raise the relative IQ of the citizenry a few points.

I said it in context with the article that calls Texas #8 in the population of folks that are "takers" and not "makers"-- therfore in that context making it a taker state..

If you can't understand that- then play whatever symantics game you want...

I just noticed Alabama was #5 on the list... Bubba and the KKK boys been spending too much time drinking beer, burning cross's, and bellyaching and not out there making any income to pay their taxes - Eh :???:
