ND Red Select Red Angus Sale---Dec. 9th, Bismarck

Hi Everyone....

Just a quick note and thanks to a couple of our ranchers.net members....

First, check out the high quality sale catalog online. BRG here on ranchers did a first rate job of putting it and the sale together. Thanks BRG!

http://www.barkingapple.com/websites/bigredgenetics/bigredgenetics/NDRedSelect06.pdf

New to this year's sale, the ND Red Angus Assn. is hosting a commercial female sale. These lots are all sired by Red Angus Bulls, and come from top notch commercial and registered breeders in North Dakota. As a matter of fact, the sale lots had to be sponsored by a registered breeder in order to be eligible for the sale. They come in a variety of lot sizes, from 5 to 27 head, so if you're looking for replacement females, calves and breds, check them out!!!

And, a big thanks to Red Robin for donating semen on his bull, RRF 3M, for the ND Jr. Red Angus Semen Auction. This is the Jr's major fund raiser, and on behalf of the Jr. Assn. I'd personally like to thank him for his donation and dedication to the youth and our breed. To donate semen to a sale in a state he's far from and not a member of shows his true class! Thanks Red Robin!

I'd also like to invite you all to join our Association at the Annual Banquet and Meeting of Friday, Dec. 8. It'll be a great time to see old friends and make new ones too! We'll start with Happy Hour at 5:30 following by dinner, annual meeting, and socialization afterwards!

Let me know if you're interested in coming to the banquet...

Cheers---

Thanks TTB

She is right, this is an outstanding set of females both commercial and registered. If anyone has ever thought about getting some reds, here is a super opportunity. I invite you all to check out the catalog and/or give me a call or email if you have any interest or questions. I would be more than happy to help you out anyway I can.

Hope you have a GREAT sale :!:

I intended this to be in my previous message, but guess I outsmarted myself!

Thanks BMR!

As BRG said better than I, this is a first class set of females...in my opinion, by far the best set ever cataloged in this sale.

There are a pile of high quality, royally bred cattle sitting in smaller outfits in the Dakotas...don't overlook them!!! And, I think this is also the largest sale ever hosted by the ND Association.

BMR, sorry we couldn't make it to Regina, but lazy ace and I would like to extend the offer for you and Tam (and anyone else on ranchers) to be our guests for this tremendous weekend.

Cheers---

Very commendable of Red Robin.

I would have donated some Char semen had you only asked!

Hey Mike...thanks for the offer...You know, I think the ND Char assn disbanded. I think they still have a ND Jr. Assn. If nothing else, I'll put that idea in the head of my little friend Abby...I think SD still has an Assn. Or perhaps she could use the semen for the National Jr. Char Assn.

I never asked Red Robin for his donation, he straight up offered. Pretty dang awesome in my opinion.

Cheers---

TTB

PS: I am also selling raffle tickets on the donation heifer, HRR Lakota 606...she's royally bred herself, with several high powered donor cows in her family tree...one of which is Milk Creek Cub's mom. Her sire is a grand slam Chateau. If you're interested Mike (or anyone else,) the tickets are $5 each. You also have the option of $750 cash or $1000 Bull Bucks at Heart River Red Angus if you don't want the heifer. But she's so good, why wouldn't the winner want the heifer!?!

TTB I am glad to help the juniors and hope it bring some money for them but I also had an selfish motive of exposing the bull to some of the best RA breeders in the world. You're too kind. BTW I sure like Lot 1a and 1a in the catalog.  All kidding aside, it is a very nice sale offering. Good luck with the sale.

I don't suppose a person could find a picture of the "raffle ticket heifer" anywhere?

I bet she is just as fancy as the rest of the offering.

Good luck!

Hi cert...you're not the only one to ask...let me see if I can get with the donating breeders, Heart River Red Angus and get a pic.

Thanks for the interest, and as always,

I read an article a few years back about a rancher that took a picture of a starving calf like that and advertised in a city newspaper for someone to buy an ownership in the calf (only "ON Paper" ownership though) for someone to help buy feed for him. I don't remember how many $1,000.00's of dollars he received. He also told them they could come and see him anytime they wanted to.

Try it Ace. Put an advertisement in the Mobridge and Isabel paper and see how many offers you get.

Well Lazy Ace, I'm dissapointed. I thought for sure Brian would allow the lucky raffle winner the choice of the pair. Then I bet you 2 would be fighting over the one that wasn't chosen.

I kinda fancy the one on the left anyhow. Do they come with a clip job and halter broke??? I sure bet they will come on before the sale next week.

I'll drink your cold one Ace and see ya another!

Brian and I struck a deal and I ended up losing  I have to clip and halter break them, and Brian gets the honor of showing them at Denver. I am not sure if he is going to stay in the yards with them or got to the hill. TTB says we might have the next Big Mac!! I am so upset that I can't show them but I know Brian will do an excellent job.
