Hard to believe this never made a bigger splash on the news. It got me to thinking about the deep services in earthquake prone areas. Does not an earthquake wreak havoc on gas and water lines? There is so much infrastructure that I would think is vulnerable. Most of the time these things are a result of an excavator not doing due diligence.

It was on just about every station last night. Very devastating and extremely sad. When they first reported it they thought someone was digging with a backhoe etc. and hit a gas line .

Good question Per , one would think that would make a huge impact on underground lines.

Back in the late 50's PGE put a 24" line through in the Foot Hills just east of here - It is exposed in many Gorges N Valleys - I have always had thoughts about Terrorist.

I'm wondering if this is the same Gas Line.
