We made a flying trip out to McGill Nevada this week. Left at 8AM on Tuesday, and walked back in the house at 2AM today. 2000 miles in 42 hours!! Interesting country out there, anyway what I could see of it. The 12 Longhorn cows were glad to be back on Terrafirma!!!
Stopped along I80 and saw some wild man coming from the south!! Glad we got to finally meet you H.
For the record, the highest point on the trip was east of Laramie, and with 12 cows on, I averaged 10.8 MPG over 2000 miles.

If you were on I-80, east of Laramie, at the highest point, you were driving right through this place. Be sure to stop next time, we would like to meet you :). Glad you had a safe trip, did you happen to hit any wind up here while traveling through ??? The winds are clocking close to 60mph this afternoon.

WR, there may not be a lot of people that will say this but I find your part of the world beautiful. I always enjoy driving across Wyoming.

Yep went right through it then. Lisa swears she saw a moose right in there on the north side of the interstate. I didn't have time to stop this time, but next time I will sure enough try.

I love that country, but don't like the wind and snow. Many many years ago, I used to haul Longhorn critters into the Belvore Grazing Association, which used to be at the bottom on the east side.

It is nice country in the summertime . I always tell people, if these cows ever found out how other cattle lived, they would go on strike. Lisa probably did see a moose, they are becoming more and more common up here :D.

I hauled 10 loads of cattle (PU & gooseneck) the last 2 days (about 300 miles total) and got 10.1 mpg. Guess thats in the ballpark.

I, too, like Wyo; Sherman Hill is really pretty.

The area out are JodyWy is awesome too. I've stayed in that hotel in Cokeville and cruised around some of the back roads up in the mountains there. See more moose in that area than I have anywhere else.
