But.....GASP.....we won't be able to drop free health care for all of these middle class children just because they've grown up!

Why don't they address the disease and not just the symptoms? The problem is the cost of health care, not who is paying for it. If they fixed the cost part, the rest takes care of itself and there would be no need for the libs to put us deeper in debt with another inefficient entitlement that we can't pay for.

They need to tax the hell of of booze, could pay the debt off with in a year from all that is consumed in DC.

Governor Patterson of New York thinks he can tax pop to pay for something NY needs and the soft drink companies are all ready warning him that tax could have the opposite affect. They figure people will just stop drinking as much pop which will lead to a drop in income for the companies and more job loss.
When people start having to pay alot more for tobacco they will find a way to stop using tobacco which will lead to less taxes being collected to pay for the Dems plan. You can count on the next tax to be on booze then chips then candy bars then any damn thing they can think of because this health care bill is going to cost alot most than they figured and the tax collected on tobacco, booze, pop, candy, and chips is not going to cover it. Just ask any country that has tried, it has failed.

The biggest cost of this plan will be the quality of care that every US citizen will recieve. In Sask there are 4 hour emergency room wait times. Why because there are not enough DOCTORS at publicly funded rates that will stay in Sask to carry the work load. Those that do stay burn out from the work load and move on for more money and lighter work loads in other Provinces or counties. You can't blame them our publicly funded health care system is killing their own health.
Some might enjoy the free health care but it will cost the US more than anyone will ever guess. Like I said ask any country that has tried it, it doesn't work.

Another AP story that doesn't really tell the whole story.

It turns out that Congressional Leadership came up with a dollar amount they wanted to spend and then they came up with a program to spend that much. George Bush turned them down. Twice

If you really want to get a feeling of the SCHIP program and the way the government runs these entitlement programs and the way they are funded. Its appallling. No wonder this country is in such a mess and with the blank check attitude that is in Washington right now, I can't see how it will get better any time soon.
