What do they want us to do? Just sit back and accept someone beating on us?

So every time someone picks a fight and then gets beat up his recourse should be to kill the guy who beat him up? Maybe the wimp shouldn't have picked the fight in the first place.

You don't know that he did "pick" a fight. In addition did he "pick a fight" with words? Did words cause the Martin kid to break & bloody his nose, beat Zimmerman's head in the concrete?
Are words strong enough to make someone beat another? All Martin told his girlfriend on the phone during the altercation was that Zimmerman was following him. Was that enough for Martin to jump him?
From all witnesses and indications I have read so far, the Martin kid was the first to use physical force on Zimmerman. Who "picked" the fight?

Well the fact is if Zimmerman had spent the night sitting on his couch Trayvon would be alive and zimmerman would be a free man. He didn't understand the simple neighborhood watch concept of observe and report.
Getting your ass kicked is not a justification to shoot someone. Zimmerman changed his life forever because he wasn't man enough to walk away and not man enough to hold his own against a skinny teenager.
