My partner has apparently been fraternizing with the neighbours.... and here is the whole result:

Lucky that there is only two. We had a female that when she messed around with the neighbors it would end up with six or more!

Every once in awhile you need to give your help a little time for "socializing" on their own-- and every 3 year old needs a puppy- or two....
Just think of how much more help you'll have in a couple of years...Kids and dogs....

Well, I was thinking along those lines myself. Dad wants to take one, as his dog is down to three legs and getting up in years, and I guess we'll take the other. Both parents are pretty handy with cows, so I guess we'll see how the pups make out. Now the kids may be a different story as their parents aren't quite so handy

Yep- Silver I would be lost without my dogs...
Sunday I moved cows over into the summer pasture- wasn't far- mostly just getting them gathered in the pasture they are in- and pointed toward the gate...But because of all the ruckus about new Grandbaby and all- my normal volunteer help wasn't volunteering....So I just took Jud, Cocoa, and Sam and the 4 wheeler...Most the cows were in the hills, so I rode along the ridges and the dogs brought them out of the draws- onto the flats where they bunched them and got them started heading out....
From there on there was nothing to do except follow along- as those old cows knew where they were going- and the dogs kept any stragglers moving on....

Thanks Hay Maker. Yes, someone shot the poor fellas hind leg off, but he's still pretty capable and covers lots of ground. But he's about 8 yrs old now, and I expect he'll stove up quicker than most four legged types.

I had a bitch whelp in the Motor Home while we were on the Working Dog Show Circuit in Medford, Oregon

One pup was born dead…

V_Key was 3 or 4 years old and had many Questions.

People thought I was NUTS but I let “V” carry the dead puppy around for most of the day and just answered the Many Questions she had.

“Number One” No It Doesn’t Hurt!
