I found out, just recently, that I'm Whitewing. I did not know that

Ww had told me there was a poster here who was really, really out there, but he apparently couldn't find the words to describe just how far out there. Now I know

I own the ClarkOfCary domain, and I host pictures for Ww and other folks I know. I bought the domain name when I was working in Cary, N.C. My username here is Buckeye because I currently live in Ohio.

So, now you know what that's all about.

BTW... I also hang out with Communists. I'm the tall one.

Well you have a great sense of humor. Welcome.

How come your website says it's not operative?
Because there is no website. I just use the web space to host pictures.

Yeah...I went there yesterday...maybe the day before...and it said something about it wasn't the real deal...just yet...or something like that.

It's got to be a pinko communist plot, right?

Welcome...I think?

Plus, the package deal comes with some email addresses that I haven't bothered taking advantage of. GoDaddy.com is cheap cheap cheap.

Whitewing told me about the site and I started following the drama. Believe it or not... and this is where it gets weird... I recognized my own name when I saw it.

I don't have any great knowledge of our relationship with China, really. I know they're a bit lacking in some high-tech areas, that's why I was there. We did manage to bring some of those dollars back to the U.S. by providing them with hardware/software that they couldn't seem to cobble together on their own.

For them to have something made out of good ol' American steel gives them major bragging rights. The crap made out of their steel just falls apart. I was involved in setting up testing stations for vehicle emissions testing (E-Test or E-Check here) so they could brag about how they were cleaning up Beijing's air for the Olympics. I wrote the software for diesel testing. They have a LOT of diesel vehicles. And a LOT of bicycles, too, but they don't count

I know they look up to us as a nation to be envied. They still brag about getting a visit from Nixon. It really meant a lot to them. A businessman over there gave me a couple of bottles of wine that was the best stuff in the country and he made sure to point out that it's the same kind they served Nixon.

And, they have the BEST FREAKIN' Chinese food I've ever tasted!

I wasn't there for the Olympics.

I ate all my meals in the 'hood, where my coworker and I were the only white guys around. The two in the picture with me were our local rep and our interpreter (his niece) and they made sure we ate well. We were pretty much treated like rock stars. Or circus freaks... I dunno... we got a lot of attention.

At one meal I asked them about a dish we were having... they said, 'meat'. I asked, 'beef?'... 'meat'.... 'pork?'.... 'meat'... 'chicken?'... 'meat'. I guess it was 'meat'
