To be honest, it has made me uncomfortable for years when the far right or far left grossly disrespect the current president. My mother said disgusting things about Bush and probably about Reagan and Nixon too. It's impossible to confront her without causing WW III but I wanted to slap her for this. Whatever they are, they are our elected president and the office brings with it the requirement for some respect.

A bit of mild humor about Bush's funny faces and certainly outrage about some of his policies was fine. Cursing, ugly portrayals, and the like is beyond what is appropriate.

Including this thread in my opinion.

Go tell it to your mother . . .

Why is this fine"A bit of mild humor about Bush's funny faces and certainly outrage about some of his policies was fine."

But it is racist if about Obama?

At this point, I believe you're the first person that brought race into this...

Liberals see race everywhere, those that disagree with Obama's agenda and policies have been called racist on PB many times

Earl Ofari Hutchinson, president of the Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable, denounced the image and called on those behind it to reveal themselves. "Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery.

"It is mean-spirited and dangerous.

The liberal tabloid "LA Weekly", which depicted George W. Bush, the former president, as Dracula on its cover in 2004, denounced the Obama-Joker poster as virulently racist.

"It has a bit of everything to appeal to the drunk tank of California conservatism: Obama is in white face, his mouth (like Ledger's Joker's) has been grotesquely slit wide open and the word 'Socialism' appears below his face," wrote its blogger Steven Mikulan. "The only thing missing is a noose."

Why do you want to start something that wasn't there in the first place?

the Racism wasn't there, we don't know the "artist's" intentions or feelings towards blacks, he/she may even be black.

It's the Liberals like you that like to label this type of issue as Racism, when he clearly states "Socialism" on the bottome of the cartoon.

Obama supporters cannot debate the Socialism issue, so they label it Racist.

it's been done many times here on PB. Label someone a Rightwingernut and label all rightwingernuts as racist

it gives you and your liberal friends a tool to divert and demonize based on false assumptions and it will hurting race relations in the US

I never said a word about racism!

In fact, I knew it was a picture of the Joker right off the get go. You go peddle that trash somewhere else.

you asked who brought up the racism, I answered your question.

It was your liberal friends who believe that they can use the label racist to paint those that disagree with Obama, with one brush

It's been fairly effective so far, but now people are starting to care less about being falsely accused of being racist and more about standing up for their country and speaking out about the agenda and policies that will ultimately hurt the US

It's been tried here on PB, many times, the effect has wore off. Time to start standing up for the US, not demonizing those that do.

No, I'm saying that because BMR maybe agrees with this cartoon and it's dipiction of Obama as a Socialist.

Because of that, the liberals are trying to label these people racist.

if you disagree with Obama policies and agenda, you are a RWE, and RWEs are racist.

It's been done on PB many times before. Paint people with a broad brush, equate it to another assumption that is false.

It creates division. It's very unpatriotic.

of course I don't, in your opinion

you do this all the time on PB, divert because I make a valid point

liberals, your friends, label this cartoon racist, so they can label all those that agree that Obama is a Socialist, as racists

It happens all the time right here on PB

define "rightwingernuts" as racist, and then call all those that disagree with Obama "rightwingernuts"

it creates division and is very unhealthy for the country

don't you agree?

I haven't seen a liberal poster label this cartoon racist...you are either seeing things, imagining things, or desperate to turn nothing into something to further your agenda. Jeez Louise!

hypo, I don't think that those who embrace that guerrilla tactic understand why they constantly do it.

It's a cheap shot, really, employed by those who like to stir emotion rather than reason.

Kinda like posting articles about gays and airports in ALASKA just to see what kind of reaction they can provoke.

And then jump on any response that is given! :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

So hilarious and grade-schoolish! And these types want respect? :???:
