A couple of years ago I asked this group to provide me with Rancher Rules of Thumb for a project I was working on. I got a lot of great feedback and 6 pages of Rules of Thumb. As a result over one thousand producers around the country got to learn about Rules of Thumb and how to use tools to evaluate them for their own ranches. That project was so successful, I thought I would come back to the group with a new project.
I am working on a new project. I am working with young and newer producers and would like to help them understand the import keys to future success. So the question I am asking you is this. If you could go back and talk to your 20 year old self, what are two or three things you wished you would have focused on earlier in your ranching career?
