Just goes to show that the Rep's can't come up with their own ideas....

Until Obama got elected...they'd never thought of a black official.

They'd never thought of a woman close to the Presidency until Hillary came on the scene...then they have to go a drag Sarah outta the NorthCountry.

They are followers, not leaders and this proves it.

Talk about electing someone only on their skin color....well this is an example of that for sure.

Kola...get a life...ever heard of Clarence Thomas? Colin Powell, Sec. of State Condi Rice?? and many others. Lady in the north country is probably wondering when you're going to "get smart". As for women for president. I'd love to see it and it will happen. Just glad it won't ever be Hillary.

OT...are you talking about Condi Rice being a bad Sec. of State? How so? The lady was brillant and very good at her job. Very few can find fault with her. Smarter, mor shrewd, more tactful and more personality than any female politicians I've met todate.

Kola could not be more wrong. Bush had the most diverse administration in the history of the U.S.

It's just that the Dems always associated themselves with the trash of the blacks......Jesse, Al, and others. You know, the ones you voted along with in this election.

I'm pleased that the RNC elected an African-American.

I'm even more pleased that they elected a moderate.

Maybe the last election actually taught the Republicans something.

If you havent' heard....Bush is O-V-E-R. Doesn't matter what he had or didn't have.

Followers...not leaders

You might want to send a PM to OT, he seems to be hung up on his past infatuation!

Oh I'm aware of that and been grinning since Texas took him back ( I was afraid they wouldn't take him either  )- but I'm also aware that the suffering and hurt of the Bush Bust is just beginning..... :(

I just watched Michael Steele give a interview and He considers himself a "Conservative".

I have seen him before and gives the impression of being a very sharp person. I liked his views before he became Chair of the RNC.

McCain was a "moderate" and much of the party didn't even bother voting. Republicans did get taught, though.

It taught them that a candidate doesn't need any experience or need to have any accomplishments. They can belong to racist organizations, lie like a rug, and have a history of shady associations. All the candidate needs is smooth speeches and an over-used catch phrase. They've learned that the bar to be President of the Unites States has been lowered to the point that there really are no standards anymore.

Bush considered himself Conservative too...

In the reading I did on Steele- he's more moderate...Opposes any gay marriage ban (believes it should be left to individual states)-believes in stem cell research-believes in affirmative action-believes we need a Health Care plan and getting access to Health insurance-believes we need to take major steps to move away from the dependence on foreign oil....

I have to laugh- as today I attended a get together where my old buddy, who is the staunchest conservative, never bend, Republican backslapper thru thick and thin ( altho who as an R-CALF member, even has had to recognize Bush's/NCBA's sellout to the Packers and Multinational Corporates) was in attendance....

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to bring to his attention that the Repubs are finally wising up- following the Dems in thinking- and recognizing there are more folks in this world besides old grey haired rich white elists with silver haired old rich wives parading around in their fancy gowns for their conventions
The tirade I heard afterward- altho unprintable- along with the "I don't want to talk about it" comment-- was well worth it   :p

So, you think that if the Republicans had run someone to the right of Bush, they would have had a better shot at winning the election?

I hate to break it to you, but they would have been trounced worse than they were.

Palin 2012!
