New slogan for young adults regarding the election?

I listened to David Ramsey tonight. He talked about young people being on Larry King Live and encouraging young people to get out and vote. Which is fine, they should be encouraged to do so. However, the advice was, "Vote for the person who will do the most for you."

What happened to JFK's, "It's not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"?

Things have certainly changed. And not for the better.

fh,

I had the honor of judging profeciancy (sp) or SAE for the FFA. And I was really impressed with the willingness of the young people who work and the skills these young kids have. It was just awesome......( A portable chicken coop)........... :D
But......................................
The spelling and sentence structure was so aweful........ :???: Some where so bad that we couldn't read them........ Text messaging is ruining the kids ability to speak and write correctly......... I wonder who do we blame? the parents? the school? Man we are on a downward spiral to noncommunication....... Holy buckets we need to bring back spelling and word structure back to the classroom.
Carter had an English teacher to proof read his........ She said she would take some oatmeal cookies for thanks....... He makes the best!!!!

The only ones you can look at for true blame is the parents...If they are not looking out for their child's best interest, how can they expect any one else to?If their child can not write well, then help them. There are many avenues out there that can help or assist anyone struggling with learning issuse's.The internet has awesome potential for finding help,Not to mention the many learning centers that are tutoring kids to become better students......I think more parents need to put books in the hands of their son's/daughter's,and to make reading a rewarding experience, rather than a task....

If your son can not catch or hit a base ball, most dad's will play catch nightly for years to help them learn how.....why is it not the same for math equations or sentence structure. It is all in how the time is spent, catching a ball is fun ,homework sucks....That is problem, learning any new thing should really never suck when mom and dad are involved...JMHO.....
