I was really hoping for some comments/suggestions..... We have spent some time, at at a point you have to put it out there and see how it is percieved. I posted it on one other forum site and have only 2/3 the views, yet about 8 replies with suggestions.

Anyways, anyone willing to comment, I would appreciate it,

Pat

PPRM-- Looks good to me...The only thing I might do is put a little more about yourselves, maybe a picture with the cows or something, just to make more apparent this is all a home/family operated pasture to plate operation... But all in all- I like it....

PPRM...I looked at it last night and again just now, I agree with OT about more about you and some more pictures, other than that, its very easy to navigate, looks like you've explained all the ordering well...I like it! nice job :)

Great website! It will help bring folks your way. Hope it works well and ya have lots of customers. I'd add a family picture and a shot or two of your place. I've had people want to come see the place when ordering finished steers and they usually leave happy and become return clients. Good luck! :D

I agree with all above looks like a good web site. The thing is Pat,I believe a big part of your success is because of your personality, let a few more get to know that through the page,a family pic and a bit more info about your family as a business.

Good luck.... :)

Looks good enough to eat. Too bad your customers have to cook their own. A link to an exclusive restaurant that you supply (never a bad idea) and like OT says some family cow to plate info and it would be even better. I would give it a try if I didn't have several hundred of my own and lived a little closer. :)

Pat.........you've done an excellent job with the website & it should help grow your business. I do agree with the others that you need to push the personality side of your business as it is your customer relationship & product quality that builds the "branding image" that will allow your business to expand and thrive. Good Luck!!

Great site I agree more pics of the family makes it personal.
Your prices are the same as a few around here but you have a better selection on cuts and packaging.
Get some shipping quotes to have an idea for someone asking for rough estimate.

I agree with most other's views as to the more personal touch. From a simple business standpoint you've done a good job of describing and promoting your product.

Thanks to everyone for your input. As I reread the site, I could see someone actually wondering if we raised this Beef...

We are going to have some other photos done of us. A Ranchers Wife, who is also a teacher and writes for a local newspaper. She has a blog and does great photos of people and animals...

We have been sending out e-mails to our customers with specials, deliveries and what I hope are helpful links and such. Along with some of my thots. These will also be incorporated into the site. I have not let our customers know yet as I want this to be effective such that they find new stuff when they come back,

Thanks Again! Your Comments have helped us a lot in looking at what we will do next,

PPRM, congrats on your venture into direct marketing! I agree with others. Your site is simple, clear, and easy to use. A little more personal touch might bring more interest.

Do you market your beef as "organic"? From what I read it did not appear so. If you do, just what is "organic" from your point of view?

Last summer I was asked my opinion of "organic" beef by one of my city cousins. I honestly replied that I consider "organic"beef or any other "organic" description of a food product as more of a marketing gimmick than anything else. I don't think that was the answer she wanted to hear, but she did ask for my opinion!

I consider my own beef "all natural" and "drug free". Probably doesn't qualify for "organic". I don't use antibiotics, implants, or ionophores. I do use recommended vaccinations and pour-on parisite control products, usually generic ivermectin.

In Oregon and I think the rest of the US, organic requires a third party certification...

I have worked with Organic in Food processing. My philosophy is the more corporate a company is, the more likely they are meeting the minimums vs striving to make the best product they can...

I would consider mine all natural. No added hormones or antibiotics,

Ok you asked for comments and let me first off say the site is well put together. Just a couple comments I have or questions.

I have never been around vegetable screenings and don't understand that part of your feeding program. As a consumer I would wonder what those screenings have have been exposed to where you say they are from a frozen vegetable plant. Keep in mind I have never ever heard of this and so I'm reading it as someone without a clue. :???: I'd either leave that part out or explain it some more.

I couldn't get the links on your smoker to work. It could just be my internet.

On your ordering page I think it would be nice to have an apporximate of what shipping costs in case a person stumbles across this that is not in your area. I'd make sure it said very clearly that it was appoximatly and to call for a right on shipping rate.

Just some comments. It's a nice site and good job in advertising your product and good luck with your venture.
