Newt's Ex-Wife Tells All

Help Support Ranchers.net:

by leaking enough to be damaging, yet tr to sound like they took the high ground?

the interview was earlier this week with ABC News' Brian Ross, lasted two hours, and the debate was whether it was ethical to air it before the South Carolina primary. He then added that "ABCNEWS suits determined it would be 'unethical' to run the Marianne Gingrich interview so close to the South Carolina Primary,"

it isn't her first, but it might be the most timely...

Back in the 1990s, she told a reporter she could end her husband's career with a single interview. She held her tongue all through the affair and the divorce and even through the annulment Gingrich requested from the Catholic Church two years later, trying to erase their shared past.

I hope before they release anything having to do with the interview they check and recheck the claims as hell has no fury like a woman scorned. If she wants to get back at him what better way than to make a few colorful comments to a liberal bias media source that could careless/looking for a way to destroyed him.

ABC News Will Air Interview With Newt Gingrich's Ex-Wife Ahead of South Carolina Primary
7:52 PM PST 1/18/2012 by Marisa Guthrie

A network executive says the Marianne Gingrich interview was carefully considered.

ABC News will air an interview with Newt Gingrich's ex-wife Marianne Gingrich on Thursday night on Nightline, a spokesperson for the news

The interview was conducted this week by Brian Ross, the network's chief investigative correspondent.

Sources say the ex-Mrs. Gingrich is rather critical of her former husband, who faces a tough primary contest Saturday in South Carolina. That is hardly surprising. She has given numerous print interviews and in a 2010 Esquire feature she questioned the authenticity of Newt Gingrich's conversion to Catholicism.

The couple's 18-year marriage unraveled after Gingrich was revealed to be having an affair with a congressional aide 23 years his junior. He is now married to that erstwhile aide, the former Calista Bisek.

ABC News is likely to release excerpts from the interview early Thursday, well ahead of the evening's debate in South Carolina. And an executive at the network said that there is always a greater sensitivity toward airing critical interviews close to elections and that the Marianne Gingrich interview was carefully considered.

I heard the next night they will do a special on "Natural Born Citizens"....... and how they cheat on their wives less than Dual citizens.......

this thing of diverting from the issues and obama's record is getting old...............

"WHERE ARE THE JOBS OBAMA?" "WHERE IS MY NEXT CHECK COMING FROM OBAMA?" "HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GROW THE ECONOMY OBAMA" "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION OBAMA?" "HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SECURE OUR BORDERS OBAMA, WITHOUT TRAMPING ON OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, OBAMA?" "HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SUPPORT OUR ALLIES, OBAMA?" "DID NEWT CHEAT ON HIS WIFE, OBAMA?"

A somewhat related observation:
Surely some have noticed this besides me, but with the past discussions of John Edwards' hair styling costs and then Michele Obama's costs, I couldn't help but wonder if anyone knows what Ms. Gingrich's costs are for the same services??? :)

I thought it was a helmet, required by the secret service?

but she has been attacked already..
Head tilted, eyes bugging, forced smile. But what seals the deal, of course, is the hair. Platinum blond. Razor sharp on the edges, and molded into a shapely helmet on top. Who has that hair in 2011?

Like many tony D.C. salons, Okyo sports its fair share of powerful clients, including Nancy Pelosi. (Callista gets her hair done at Andre Chreky on K Street.)

It Costs $400 To Get Callista Gingrich's Hair,

Should anything Newt's ex-wife has to say a decade after the fact be taken as a way to destroy him. He has faced the issues of his past and she looks like she is just trying to get her five minutes of fame at his expense.

She's been bitter for a bit now......

In 1995, when Vanity Fair magazine asked Marianne what would happen if Newt ran for president, she boasted she could derail the bid with a single TV interview.

"He can't do it without me," she said.

"I told him if I'm not in agreement, fine, it's easy.

"I just go on the air the next day, and I undermine everything . . . I don't want him to be president, and I don't think he should be."

I wonder how many wives of 18 years wouldn't be a little bit bitter if they found out that the man that swore "To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, 'till death do us part"-- now had a bimbo 23 years his junior that he was shacking with- and now wanted an open marriage so he could play around with anyone he wanted ?

And then when she refused to live that type of life - he filed divorce proceedings so he could go to his new girlfriend (and whatever else came along)....

And this shouldn't even be a political issue- if it was not for Newt- and the Party he's running to be the Champion of- being the party that is trying to shove all their "family values" down everyones throat- and claiming to be of such higher moral standards than everyone else....

Sorry Newt- I'll pass on your "Family Values"..

ever hear the term "what comes around, goes around"

or "turnabout is fair play"?

this is his second wife.. a woman he dated and proposed to prior to divorcing his first wife...

she just convinced herself she was better... and for less then 18 years she was...

Newt is a jerk.. a rotten person,.. he didn't change... and she knows it..

and now she is bitter.. like many other dumped mistresses..

but she is right about one thing... Newt often tries to rewrite his past..

right now he sounds conservative and Presidential.. and is appealing to many conservatives, despite his past..

and if his past didn't keep coming up, I would be a supporter of him... but I can't get past his factual past to believe his new found conservatism..

Problem is Newt has much more baggage than just his dalliances with every woman that came along...

Hosted by former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu (R) and Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), the Romney surrogates blasted Gingrich for his ethics violations while House Speaker, the government shutdown under his watch and his long history as a Washington insider.

"We had … well over 218 Republicans in the Congress when Newt was the Speaker, and you can't find more than a handful who will come to his defense," King said. "And it has nothing to do with ideology, nothing to do with philosophy. It's all the erratic, self-serving narcissism of Newt."

Sununu said Democrats are "laughing with glee behind closed doors" at the prospect of a Gingrich nomination.

He warned that Gingrich has so much baggage, including the ethics violations for which he was fined $300,000, that an "October surprise" during the 2012 election would be inevitable.

"There was a 7-to-1 vote in that Ethics Committee, which means the material was pretty convincing, even to the four Republicans, three of which voted against him," Sununu said. "I think it reflects on his reliability as a leader and, frankly, reflects on the fact that [House Minority Leader Nancy] Pelosi was part of that process, and whatever Congresswoman Pelosi knows, President Obama knows.

"And if Pelosi knows, Obama knows. And if Obama knows, this is certainly a ripe package for an October surprise."

"All of us have baggage, but Jesus is not on the ballot. Maybe it would be great if he were, but the point is we have to, in this case, pick the person who can best lead this country into the place that the Founding Fathers dreamed it could be," Franks, who has endorsed Gingrich, told TheDC at the GOP presidential debate in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Monday night.

"I think if Barack Obama is re-elected, we will see our economy really diminished into a European socialism that will be hard to ever break free from."

When asked why he chose to back Gingrich over the rest of the field, Franks said, "He has an almost asymmetric capability, a political casucci I would call it, of being able to take the left's questions — who are nearly always laced with false premise — and turn them around before they ever know what hit them."
