Shameful. All this ad is, is a Husband/Father talking about protecting his home & family. You can see the ad inside the link.

I've never heard of this store until now and the NFL is showing their true colors when the company offered to replace their logo with an American flag.

The National Football League won't permit a company that sells guns to purchase ad time during the upcoming Super Bowl, according to a report on GunsandAmmo.com.

The website reported that Fox, which will air the Feb. 2 game from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, told Daniel Defense the spot doesn't comply with its rules.

The rule states that "firearms, ammunition or other weapons are prohibited; however, stores that sell firearms and ammunitions (e.g., outdoor stores and camping stores) will be permitted, provided they sell other products and the ads do not mention firearms, ammunition or other weapons."

The Daniel Defense commercial doesn't display or mention an actual weapon, though it shows the company's logo at the conclusion of the spot. The logo contains a DDM4 rifle.

Daniel Defense products are sold in brick and mortar stores that also sell other items.

The company's offer to remove the logo containing the firearm and replace it with an American flag was also rejected, the Guns and Ammo report said.

Three stores in New Jersey sell their products — one each in Bayonne, Woddbridge and Marlboro.

Daniel Defense was allowed to run a commercial that aired in some Georgia markets during Super Bowl XLVI. The spot showed a gun being fired.

Fox is seeking $4 million for a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl, according to published reports.

I looked up Daniel Defense. Never heard of it before. This is an ad for assault rifles. It's not a sporting goods store. There's only one reason for an assault rifle, and it sure isn't hunting deer. Who is he protecting his house from? A small army? What's he expecting? That a tank will roll down the street and he'll have to take out a platoon of terrorists?

There is no such thing as a gun commercial in Canada. For that matter, assault rifles are illegal. I'm glad. This commercial is just a subliminal message to promote paranoia, as well as causing a good controversy that makes for better advertising than the commercial would be any way. And it's kind of creepy too.

Well, I am a Canuck and I liked it. I think the lefties did not like the pic of the rifle at the end - should have changed it - the same message comes across.

As for Canada and their laws.

They are so screwed up you do not even want to start out as a newbie trying to buy a pistol or revolver.

I once challenged Rex Murphy - Communist Broadcasting Corp commentator - (CBC) to go out and buy one and take delivery of a 9mm.

He could not get it done in less than a year - courses, police checks, house inspection, wife approval, reference checks, criminal checks, certification, handling, police inspection, and delivery only after all of the above - red tape means you are screwed.

Buy a used shotgun and just keep your mouth shut.

so what is the difference between an ordinary deer rifle and an assault rifle?

Daniels defense sells to law enforcement as well..

What are they expecting? That a tank will roll down the street and they'll have to take out a platoon of terrorists?

who will they confront that we may confront as well first before they are called or can arrive?

do the police have "more rights" then an average citizen?

It's also a myth that "assault rifles' are not legal in Canada. You will need an RPAL, but they are not illegal.

Some of the rifles available from a store in Edmonton.

Not that it matters but there are many reasons for a so called assault rifle. Anyone who thinks its for one reasson has been sucked in by the left and the medias propaganda machine

I am planning on buying a pair of AR-15's for our house...we will hunt deer with them, and protect ourselves. from the home invader, the govt., the zombie apocalypse.... don't matter. if you break into my house do not expect to hear "I have a gun!!" , just listen for the safety to be clicked off..... then look for the flash.

You know I don't go around telling anyone what kind of clothes to wear, what food to feed their kids, what school to send their kids to, when they should have sex, what kind of car to drive. So why do people think they have the right to tell others how they can protect their family. They say you can protect your family but with one hand tied behind your back.
NO you do not have the right to tell me what I NEED to protect my family

The difference between an assault rifle and a deer rifle? A deer rifle shoots a deer. An assault rifle shoots a herd of them.

Thanks but no thanks. You guys can keep them.

I do appreciate you not trying to dictate what I choose to defend my family with
I know you would hate it you tied my hands in self defense and that caused my children to be harmed
A so called assault weapon does not kill herd of deer. It might have the potential. It also give me the greatest advantage defending my family
But sometimes people forget that our founding fathers didn't specifically include the second for hunting reasons Go back and investigate the reason for the second
Two things that really burn me is people will so easily trash the constitution because they fear law abiding citizens have one to many rounds in a rifle and they think they can decide whether my family is worth defending

From 2010: A 15 year old TX boy and his 12 year old sister are home alone when two burglars try to break into their home.

That’s when the boy used quick thinking and used his dad’s AR-15 to defend his home, and 12 year old sister from 2 home invaders who had broken into his home.

One suspect was hit multiple times. The boy and his sister were not harmed.

It should be pointed out that due to the ease of use, good accuracy and light recoil of the AR15 platform that even a 15 year old boy was able to successfully wield it with precision and great accuracy even during a period of what could only be an enormous amount of stress.

I wonder if the boy would have had the same luck with a double action, six shot revolver? Or as Joe Biden would advise, a double barreled shotgun.

The middle class suburb had seen several houses burglarized prior to this incident.

Police say the boy was simply defending himself and his sister, and that he was clearly in fear for his own life as well as his sister’s.

In the video report above unfortunately the reporters call the rifle an ‘assault rifle’. I guess in this case the rifle was used to justifiably assault the home invaders.http://gunssavelives.net/self-defense/video/son-uses-dads-ar-15-to-defend-home/
