and the entire interview consisted of him trying to exploit the A.I.G. situation for partisan gain without one constructive thought.

prior to the passing of the bill that allowed AIG to give out the bonuses.. many republicans including cantor tried to halt the bill, if only so someone could read it before it was voted on...

so on that account.. the Democrats shut off debate... and voted...

If you want to guarantee that America becomes a mediocre nation, then just keep vilifying every public figure struggling to find a way out of this crisis who stumbles once — like Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner or A.I.G.’s $1-a-year fill-in C.E.O., Ed Liddy — and you’ll ensure that no capable person enlists in government.

seems like Obama was lead vilifier again.. might explain why no one is filling all the empty positions..

President Obama missed a huge teaching opportunity with A.I.G. Those bonuses were an outrage. The public’s anger was justified. But rather than fanning those flames and letting Congress run riot, the president should have said: “I’ll handle this.”

even better,.. Obama should have handled it instead of leaping onto the world stage and vilifing those who were trying to handle it..

in our rush to heal our banking system, may have gotten bonuses they did not deserve — and tells them that their president is asking them to return their bonuses “for the sake of the country.”

maybe had he listened to cantor and the other republicans who spoke out against the bill, he would at least had time to read the bill..

“There is nothing more powerful than inspirational leadership that unleashes principled behavior for a great cause,”

you mean trashing the economy so you can shove through a plateful of liberal policy isn't good fro confidence?

the real issue — the president’s comprehensive plan to remove the toxic assets from our ailing banks, which is the key to our economic recovery, has taken a long time to hammer out.

might be better to say what plan.. ??????

it goes way back.. Obama doesn't have a plan.. never had one.. he has policy.. and thats it.. no plans.. can't lead with an Idea.. sounds good and catchy.. but as he has shown.. from heatlhcare to the war in Afghanistan.. he has no plan nor a clue as to how to get one. let alone implement one..

That's why he punted the stimulus to congress and signed a flawed bill...

“This is the first time I’ve ever visited the United States when I feel like you’re acting like an immature democracy.”

it's hard to support a policy that is flawed.. and have a debate that gets closed before it gets started.. and a vote that is on a bill no one has time to read.. and I won't violate my principles just so you can feel better singing Koom-by-ya while we sink..

and while it is easy to say I told you so.. it is also painful knowing it is a failure of our country not Just Obama..

but until the liberals on here are able to debate with out attacking the poster.. I guess all they will get is I told you it was a stupid policy and not much of a plan.. but you were so caught up in worshiping Obama... and could only say "give him a chance"...

well he had a 830 billion dollar chance and he blew it.. he just had another 430 billion dollar chance to prove he could "lead" but no, Obama followed... now he is floating out a trillion like it was no big deal, while vilifying those who he will need to solve it..

sorry, but look in the mirror R2 before trying to blame the republicans who said "wait a darn second".. "check this guy out",.. "read the bill first".. had any of that been done by your democrats we wouldn't even be here discussing AIG, Leno, of the sad state of the Obama leadership... but we told you so... as painful as it might be.. someone needs to break the news to you that what Obama has done hasn't worked out to well..

Adults?

Right now we have an absence of inspirational leadership

What we need is a more mature Teleprompter. The campaign is over. The democrats wanted to be in a place to lead, so lead.

Do they know how, or do they just ridicule those that do not agree with them 100%?

It's a lot like the Liberals on Ranchers, they don't bring facts, and they don't like to discuss facts. They cling to their emotions, and attack the messenger(s).

Why don't they liberals on Ranchers take up the torch, and let us know why and how the policies being implemented at present will re-enforce the Constitution and everything that has allowed for the US to become the great country it has become?

After getting his usual White House briefing on the world's problems, Obama headed to Camp David for a long weekend with his family.

His daughters Sasha and Malia have begun their spring break, and to spend more time with the girls and first lady, the president is skipping a Washington tradition, Saturday night's Gridiron Club dinner.

A weekend off in the middle of the worst economic crisis in generations and Obama goes on "spring break." Well, it is "March Madness," and Obama does have his priorities. Can't watch the games if you're running the country.
