No Charges For Hillary?

According to sources that are familiar with the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton‘s use of a private email server, the former Secretary of State is not expected to face charges in the probe.

This, according to CNN’s Senior Producer Edward Mejia Davis, who took to Twitter shortly ago to indicate the likely announcement of “no charges”:

During an unexpected interview hit on MSNBC this evening with Chuck Todd, Clinton herself was asked about the reports that she would not face charges. “As we were talking, there are news reporters that indicate no charges may be brought against you and a final decision in a couple weeks,” said Todd in the waning seconds of the hit.

“Chuck I am not going to comment on the process. I have no knowledge of any timeline. This is entirely up to the Department,” said Clinton, who voluntarily sat with the FBI this morning for 3.5 hours as part of their final stage of the investigation into the possible violation of the law and the handling of classified material.

However, not everyone is so sure.

During an exchange on the topic moments ago, conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt responded to me directly with his skepticism about the “all clear” at this point of the process:

That "source" would have had to have been in this AM's interview if only for 18 USC 1001 purposes. They called Evan? https://twitter.com/teddydaviscnn/status/749347441057603588 …

1. No. I meant False Statements Act. @CNN source could not know what she said in interview unless source was there https://twitter.com/jivedurkey/status/749361316188549121 …

2. So while 18 USC 1924 is underlying issue, any "source" would have to have been in meeting to know if https://twitter.com/jivedurkey/status/749361316188549121 …

3. 18 USC 1001 was violated. Time will tell. I'm just skeptical of any source telling people all is clear for https://twitter.com/jivedurkey/status/749361316188549121 …

4. @HillaryClinton It may turn out to be, but no one who knows is talking and anyone talking doesn't know.

Even the Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump heard the reports, and unsurprisingly got ahead of the story with his immediate response:

It was just announced-by sources-that no charges will be brought against Crooked Hillary Clinton. Like I said, the system is totally rigged!

Yesterday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced that she would be welcoming the recommendation from the FBI and bureau director James Comey about the findings of the investigation. The FBI’s last step was to interview Clinton directly, though no time frame has been revealed as to when the findings would be made public or passed along to the Justice Department. While Republicans have sought to drag this story out into the news cycles surrounding the 2016 Presidential campaign cycle, Democrats are hoping for an expedited end to the investigation, just weeks ahead of the party’s national convention in Philadelphia.

The criminal investigation being concluded just prior to a dnc convention is rather problematic for me no matter the outcome.

Clinton's criminal activity has been known for some time. To coordinate a conclusion prior to the convention appears too coincidental, rather it is or not.

If Clinton is not tried, it is criminal. If she is tried (I will assume an Obama pardon), then whomever is given the nomination in place of bernie would create a premise of conspiracy in my mind as well.

It all stinks, and what is the biggest problem is not the criminal activity, but the loss of trust in the federal government; not that it won't act against the interest of the people, lie, steal or oppress, but that when openly caught in the act, it retained the decency to purge the inept at the game.

Under Obama, the inept are given advances, courts are ignored and the American people are given the finger on high definition television under rainbow colored lights at any opportunity possible while running guns to the criminals of the world.

Hilary made her deal with the devil long, long ago. She will probably skate on this and America will be the worse for it. But the problem isn't whether Hillary is indicted or not. It's that a significant percentage of America deems a candidate under criminal investivation and associated with Treason of that very country as THE leading candidate to lead the country and weild all the power of the POTUS.

It seems to me that this is what the FBI has done today. It has told the public that because Mrs. Clinton did not have intent to harm the United States we should not prosecute her on a felony that does not require proof of intent to harm the United States. Meanwhile, although there may have been profound harm to national security caused by her grossly negligent mishandling of classified information, we’ve decided she shouldn’t be prosecuted for grossly negligent mishandling of classified information.

It only gets worse...
and Democrats close to Mrs. Clinton say she may decide to retain Ms. Lynch, the nation’s first black woman to be attorney general, who took office in April 2015.

These Democrats, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss confidential conversations with Mrs. Clinton and her advisers

She delivered for the Clinton's BIG! She'll probably do the same for the Clinton Crime Family Pay For Favors Money Laundering Foundation. Of course they'll keep her. Time to knock off the "Never Trump" ****.

If the FBI was honest, why couldn't this have gone to a Federal Grand Jury?

That would be normal protocol, but Comey insisted the circumstances were abnormal and required abnormal procedures. Made no sense to me either.

Can still go to Grand Jury if Trump goes in.

Judge Jeanne said that is what should have happened, that this should NOT have been decided by an Obama appointee.
Well, Cromey made sure he took care of that too.

A good man; an honest man, :???: if he ever was, that's out the window now. :(
He has to live with the man in the mirror for the rest of his days.

But so does America.
