No Fox for Obama

Seems kind of wrong that Obama goes on every to bit TV talk show or news show in a week but excludes Fox the highest rated News Network there is.

One it seems if you want to win support of something you go where the most chance of winning votes is to be gained and you go where the largest audience is.

As a President should he not feel compelled to talk to all American citizens. Would it not be wrong to exclude the largest news source of all networks, just because they ask tough questions.

Well, that's most certainly the President's decision, and his alone. One would think though that if Obama wants to reach as many Americans as possible with his message, that he'd face the tough questions he'd obviously get in that venue. It's what leaders do, face a challenge head-on.

If my memory serves me correctly, George Bush walked into one or more NAACP conventions and faced an obviously hostile crowd. In his later years in office, I believe he gave up the annual beating and was justifiably hammered by the left.

I'm sure the left will also be as tough on Obama.

It's part of the left's attempt to demonize FOX and pretend that they're not revelent.

That's not really working out very well according to polls showing public opinion. Seems a sure fire way to make BO a one and done.

True, but, since he's down in the polls he goes back to that portion of the media/celebrities that stroked him into office (ie. Letterman etc) to get positive stroke momentum. With that renewed backing he'll begin bantering with the right. He's just playing with the dymamics again without regard to substance of service.

It seems like this has been discussed before. As I recall a PB poster said that Fox was the only fair and balanced station on TV and had the most viewers-the rest of the major stations were all controlled by liberals. The reply was that if you add up the viewing audience of all those liberal stations, then their audience far outnumbers the Fox audience. So if that is the case, maybe Obama is going where the viewers are.

These days it really doesn't matter which network you appear on. Most seem to share clips with each other so you see the high points on just about any network you might be watching. The often even give credits to the other network when they're showing their clips.

That is what is crazy Fox outnumbers most all them News networks combined most all the time! And if you want to sell something why try to sell it to those that already bought it, you would go after the independents that watch fox and have a greater chance of changing minds.

Like Chris Wallace said the other day, the Obama group is the biggest cry babies he has ever dealt with in all his years doing the news. They constantly email or call him and whine about everything. Obama's ego can not handle Fox and his intellect can not handle the tough questions!

It's a snub. They won't play ball by his rules so he's not bringing his ball to their court. Shows a little bit of what he's made of - nothing impressive.

In other words you're saying that Fox viewers outnumber the rest of those other stations combined??? May be, but I would have to see the numbers to believe it.

I'm thinking he would be a great Letterman substitute...

Your right! Who do you think his first guest would be? Maybe John Edwards and all of his mystery families?

TSR, you are correct. FoxNews' ratings out number all other CABLE news networks badly...as in, if you combine CNN, MSNBC, ect., Fox beats them badly. If ALL viewers are considered, the "over air" networks (ABC, NBC, CBS) still have more viewers because their market is much larger and FoxNews isn't in that market. Yet, O'Reilly has beaten CBSNews lately with out the benefit of free, over-air broadcasting!

I still maintain FoxNews is the most fair and balanced because they actually present both sides of issues...whereas, the ex-MSM (the new 'fringe media') follow liberal ideology. How much have you heard about Van Jones or ACORN from the fringe media???

TSR, looks like you may be the last Democrat standing in PB...I just want you to know I have always enjoyed discussing/debating with you. Take care! :)

I still maintain I'm an Independent but I know some on here don't think so. Ditto for the debating- I have enjoyed it and still do, when time permits.

To clarify I know the beat out all the news networks combined. But not sure who all Obama was on. O'Reilly has beat out Katie Couric in Prime time slot before.

Throughout the viewing day, Fox News did even better with its 1.2 million viewers, on average, more than doubling CNN's 598,000 and more than tripling third-place trailer MSNBC's average audience of 392,000.
