No reason for gasoline to be so high

What was it--$6/gal in California lately?

Look carefully at this chart. Current gasoline sales are the lowest they've been in at least 30 years with the greatest, cliff dropping decline being in the last 4 years alone...
What is happening? With the decrease in demand, why are you paying the highest gasoline prices in our country's history? But most importantly, where is the media outrage?
Could it be that the number of unemployed people no longer driving to work is far, far greater than the current 7.8% that you are being told by the media?
The following chart is provided by the U.S. Dept. of Energy

This is clearly a move by the Bush/Cheney/Halliburton Cartel to pad the pockets of their cronies in Big Oil.

It appears gasoline sales are only half of what they were just a short time ago. Oil at $89 is off 10% or more in recent weeks. It looks to me like there is no support whatsoever for the present gasoline or diesel prices. No media mention of it and no political mention of it either. Hasn't Washington voiced disapproval in the past as consumers raised cain? I believe high gas prices is just what the administration wants. They have worked against gulf drilling, Alaskan drilling, the pipeline, coal and just about all domestic production, especially on federal lands. Their solar projects have been failures, they have withdrawn support for geo thermal, there is no real support for natural gas, and wind farm support seems to have diminished as well. Not much support for nuclear either. We're going to be in big trouble one of these days and a good deal of it will be due to the present administration. I fail to see how ANYONE could support Obama.
