"No specifics, no command and control"

Seems the Liberal talking heads didn't like the speech tonight. :???:

Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Howard Fineman react to President Obama's Oval Office Address on the oil spill. Here are the highlights of what the trio said:

Olbermann: "It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days."

Matthews compared Obama to Carter.

Olbermann: "Nothing specific at all was said."

Matthews: "No direction."

Howard Fineman: "He wasn't specific enough."

Olbermann: "I don't think he aimed low, I don't think he aimed at all. It's startling."

Howard Fineman: Obama should be acting like a "commander-in-chief."

Matthews: Ludicrous that he keeps saying [Secretary of Energy] Chu has a Nobel prize. "I'll barf if he does it one more time."

Matthews: "A lot of meritocracy, a lot of blue ribbon talk."

Matthews: "I don't sense executive command."

Took them awhile, but they are finally seeing what some of us saw over 2 years ago.

Obama should have given his speech on radio instead of TV. Even his facial expressions gave him away. He is a phony.

I will give him some slack though, he is not to blame for the spill or the slow reaction to it.

He has offered no solution the the problem in the gulf or to our comming energy shortage. We can expect no leadership from him nor from the government. What we need is another Herbert Hoover in the White House, well maybe even another Jimmy Carter would be better. Obama has absolutly no knowledg about engineering. He was a Harvard trained lawyer, educated beyond his intelligence.

Well people, the next 5 or 10 years will be a heyday for lawyers, and like it or not, you and I will pay them.

How long has it been since it hasn't been a "heyday" for lawyers since most are concentrated in DC?

You are right AG. It is the fault of conservatives that our fearless leader looks so bad. I'm glad that he hasn't suspended the jones act or accepted help from foriegn countries that have the technology to help us in this disaster. Shoot, by halting new drilling we are going to finally be rid of all of those job providing rigs out in the gulf. Let Brazil have them. We conservatives are all for dependence on foriegn oil. We don't care where our energy comes from just so long as we are one step closer to socialism and complete government dependence. Who cares if this spill wrecks a fragile ecosystem. Not me. I live in Wyoming. If I need fish or seafood my government will give it to me. If need a beach vacation my government will tell me where I should go. All of us poor hillbilly conservatives are damn proud that our president bows down to other world leaders. Its a fact, we should defer to the higher powers. Yessireebob. I'm sure glad my commander in chief has never had a job in the private sector. Otherwise he might actually have some common sense. Lord knows we don't need that. What we do need are more czars. Especially the communist types. And we can't wait for another foriegn leader to stand in our capitol and chastise us. What are us little folks thinkin? Wantin to protect the welfare of our country and all. Yep, its an abomination the way we are so disrespectful to our talented leadership.

No AG, I don't hate the man. I hate what he stands for. I was taught to love the sinner, hate the sin. I hate how he blames everything on those before him. He knew this country had problems. He said he would bring change. This being the case why does he keep laying It all on Bush? Is it because he realizes that he is incpapable of bringing about the promised change? I hate how he will berate AZ. over a law that he nor his cabinet have read. A law, by the way, that is more lax than federal law. I hate how Bobby Jindal has to beg for help and it has still not been forthcoming. I hate he felt the need to decieve the American people on the specifics of his healthcare plan. A plan that an overwhelming majority is against no less. I hate how he has spent so much money on Whitehouse entertainment when our countries financial situation is in the gutter. I hat how he and his cabinet cowtow to foriegn leadership and feel the need to apoligize for the American people. I hate the fact that he wants to circumvent the Constitution and do away with our 2nd amendment rights. These are just some of the things that the man does that I hate. I do hear though, that he plays a good game of pickup (basketball). Oh, and one more thing. If the rest of the world hates us so bad, why do they keep coming?

I gave him a chance and tried to find out as much about him as I could. I could NOT find out much. You can find out more about me that you can him......hmmmmm
Actions speak louder than words....I have been to many different sporting/political/community events The only people who do not stand or cover thier heart for the National Anthem are either jehovah witness or those who have no respect for our Republic.
No other president has put the wants of the few above the needs of the many.

Take your hateful angry posts and see a Dr your going over the edge.

AG ANYBODY in their right mind from anywhere around the world has a right and obligation to be concerned about America.

You see as America goes the rest of the world will follow. If we end up as a third world country who will stand against and defeat evil? We are being attacked on all fronts.

Just look at immigration. No other country has the problems we have and no other country has a desire to welcome immigrants. Our weak borders are being brought about by those that seek to destroy us. mexicos motive is because they want to occupy the southwest. One thing is for certain if they succeed they will not stop there.
