One I have heard touted by some locally this year is Cole Creek Black Cedar 46P-- # 14496765...
Greg wrote in his catalog this year:
We kept Black Cedar to breed to our heifers. He is a super calving ease bull with some go when they wean. He is a superb heifer bull. Calves show excellent performance. You won't find any better daughters. Quiet dispositions, excellent udders, and they want to be mothers.
And thats about what a couple of folks that saw him, his calves, and the cows out of him have told me...
An unproven young son of Gregs is Cole Creek Juanada Lad 81T # 15483092-- and being a son of Juanda 7 of PJM with HBR Encore 0544 as mgs, should have plenty of maternal behind him...Anyway thats what I gambled getting a couple of his yearling daughters this year...
Another I've seen some nice daughters (and sons) of is Bannon of Wye 8420 (now deceased) # 13560373... My own daughters of the bull are just coming on line- nice and quiet- and I'm anxious to see how they turn out...Altho at 54 inch's- just 4 frame- he may be smaller than what you want...
I also have a 27 month old son of his (with Basin Max 602C as a mgs) that is barely a 5 frame (if that)....One of the things I'm looking for out of him is the maternal combination of Bannon and 602C.. Got his first calves on the ground now- and so far satisfied....Both they and he are real quiet too....

I got my fill of the torpedo teats with the years of chasing the "bull of the month" ... Thats what I'm trying to clean up now...
