Well, i finally went out and tied my steer up, with that metal halter. Here are some pics just so ya believe me  he pretty much gave up on pullin back after bein tied up for 10 minutes. i (kinda, haha) led him over to the scale, so we could weigh him, since we haven't for awhile. guess how much he weighs.......!!!!!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice steer, MCG!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm really impressed that the halter worked that quickly!

Where did you get it, brand, etc? I'd like to check into gettin Al one for his heifer, in case I talk him into taking her to our fair in Aug.....if we're still in the country.

Thanks!

well, we actually made that halter, with the help of Northern Rancher, so you can ask him and he can send you a pic and instructions on how to make it, lol.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! He sure doesn't look that big in the pics...........

If ya weren't sittin on his back, ya musta been standing on the scales behind him.........kinda like Hubby will sneak in and stand on the scales with me!

When is your show day, fair, whatever you call it, there? Ours isn't till the end of Aug, and the steers can't go over 1300#.

Waitin for a pic of that halter, and instructions......I just about have Al convinced to take Tillie.........Grand Champ can auction 2 animals, and she stands a real good chance of making that high grade. (I saw the competition last year  ) And he's got 3 pigs to get rid of, instead of just 2........ Gettin to auction an extra would sure come in handy.......

If we're still in the country........wish Hubby would make up his mind one way or the other, I hate all the indecision that goes on around here!

I made one like this in the 50's - - mine was round - - I have seen one on the market like it - - Lost another Million..

They work very well - - V_Key had a red steer that would make a "Touriest" around the ranch out of her - - My old Round Halter Stopped that :!:
