Ty and I caught this oldtimer dogging a doe at daylight this A'M-he hung around long enogh for me to poke him with the old .270-he's 21 inches wide with 8 inch browtines. it was -21 this A'm so it got a little chilly skinning him out lol.

Gorgeous old bruiser! And a really nice buck too! :D Bet your glad ya didnt punch yer tag on a little guy! With that weather he oughta keep a while hanging on the rafter. Congrats and thanks for sharing!

The wind must have been calm this morning as your ears still have colour.

With that outfit the title should have been "Elmer Fudd's Buck" :p

He was out there a bit over 300 yards-Ty glassed him and said you better take him Dad-when Ty says shoot you better shoot lol. I put in 40 hours at the stockyards in two days-the boss said don't come in till 11'00 so you can get some sleep but when the whities are ruttin' I ain't sleepin' lol. We are really lucky to live where we do if you like hunting whitetails.

I'll have to check out Greg hunter hosting us next year-We usually try and get Sara her deer first for sure-she doesn't like hunting in -30-WEAKLING lol.

Denny if I've got a good rest I can shoot not bad. I've got an old browning bolt action with a 2x7 Leupold scope both are kind of battered but Ty left his new 25.06 behind when he went hunting this A'M and took my old musket lol.

That's a nice buck for sure NR,going to the taxidermist with that one ? livin up there in whitetail country,you probably dont have any wall space left,I really like a 270 with 130 grain federals an ole buck has to be really tough to go far after being hit with that much energy................good luck

Soap -21 isn't quite the same a 21 below. Still chilly but it's not until -40 does C and F get to be the same. Damn cold :lol:
