The semen in the tank is the only insurance I ever carry. We still haven't had any rain this spring-I'm missing those two loads of cows I sold less and less as the days go by.
With all the snow you had there this winter,is it dry there,or not to bad yet?We finally got a 1/2 inch of rain this past weekend, that was the first moisture we have got since the snow left.We needed that bad.
The loss is tough :x but as long as you have a son and semen you will just have to go to the old Line 1 philosophy that all good bulls will raise a son that is better. :???:
Sorry about your bull, NR. I just can't believe you wouldn't had insurance on him. We always carried insurance on ours, had to collect twice, and have never had a problem. They settled up quite fast.
Did you get any rain out of those big storms that came through your area last night? Sure looked nasty by what I seen on the radar.
The thing about insurance on a bull is that insurance companies NEVER consistently lose money. The only time insurance pays more than it takes in premium is when the government subsidises the companies.
