I am not sure why anyone would want to be President?....The personal shots, having your family dragged through the mud,Mistakes made years before brought up and magnified 100% more, and Turning anything good to bad...I saw McCain on Leno last night....I thought to myself, really why should he have to explain who his wife is or what her family does...But he was Bringing up all the good things they do and that was fine, but, then he decided to smear his opponent and who he and his family are ...So all the good McCain spoke of now becomes just words to set up making his opponents look bad....Many of you write negative things now about Obama's running mate biden, yet,McCain claims that biden and himself are best of friends..Admitting that they do not see eye to eye on every political issues, but yet say's biden is a very good man...McCain also called hillary a very good friend..So If McCain see's these people as good people why trash them.....Why not make it about the issues and not about their families and number of houses, and what each of thier wifes make a year...I think the process of becoming a leader should not be a smear contest but more about what will really change for the good if either one gets in.....Both candidates are equally guilty of this style of politicing and it is at a point of imbarassing now..Why would anyone who has lived a life want thier mistakes or families mistakes brought out for all to see...Life is not perfect and its those mistakes that we learn from....I saw a nice man drop to the level of a snake in less the three sentences yesterday.....For no reason other then he wants to be President...It is a shame one day he may become the leader of people...and whats just as shameful is,his opponent is doing excactly the same thing.....Your country and its people deserve much better.....

nonothing it is unforunately just the way the politics are down here anymore. It is really a sad deal.
What is really sad is being told that a person should go into politics, but that person is too honest.
From what I have seen and heard there are no friends in politics. Makes a person remember the saying,"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

This is nothing new, politics have always been this way. Somehow we have survived for over two hundred years and most believe we have prospered(other than the "Hate America First" crowd!!!!!) Problems arise when we get too far away from the Constitution...and, contrary to what OT propagandizes, it is the Democrats that believe the Constitution is a "living document" and should only be used as a guide!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, the present Republican leadership thinks moving toward the left is what needs to happen!!

You forget that Bullies like nn can't distinguish a lie from the truth. Why else would they keep telling those silly lies of theirs.

The only way Republicans in general, and especially McCain this year, can win is to trash whoever is running against them. They have no plan except more benefits for the rich and the corporations. Thats not a popular plan to win votes. So they use scare tactics, push racial sereotypes and economic divides. And lie, of course. Both parties' ads will misrepresent the other's plans. I do think Obama has tried to run an "issues" oriented campaign. McCain gets by with saying some really dumb things and with losing his temper. He is, after all, a POW.

What any reasonable person knows to be the truth:

The only way Democrats in general, and especially Obama this year, can win is to trash whoever is running against them. They have no plan except to punish the rich and the corporations, thereby causing the layoff of millions of workers and raising the price of virtually everything we buy. Thats not a popular plan to win votes. So they use scare tactics, push racial sereotypes and economic divides. And lie, of course. Both parties' ads will misrepresent the other's plans. I do think McCain has tried to run an "issues" oriented campaign. Obama gets by with saying some really dumb things, when he actually says anything at all, because he is protected by the media. He is not, and never has been, a POW, because the thought of using force to protect his country or his family gives him the cold sweats.

fff, "So they use scare tactics, (LIKE MASS CALLS TO RADIO STATIONS TO NOT AIR NEGETIVE STORIES ON OBAMA?) push racial sereotypes (LIKE "TYPICAL WHITE PERSON"?) and economic divides. (LIKE "TAX CUTS THAT ONLY BENEFITTED THE WEALTHY"?) And lie, of course. (LIKE, "I DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING CONTROVERSIAL" OR "I WOULD OF VOTED FOR THE BILL IF HAD THE WORDING THE FEDERAL LEGISLATION DID"?)

What party/candidate did you think you were talking about, Frankie?
