Obama's recess appointments: Supreme Court to hear landmark case
Who has the authority to decide when the Senate is officially in session, the president or senators themselves? The Supreme Court Monday will hear a case focusing on President Obama’s recess appointments.
Now that Stonewall Reid pulled the Nuclear Option rip cord and made it so the minority can no longer stop Obama from appointing his radical friends to Senate approved positions, this case really doesn't matter any more but will the Supreme Court rule that the President says when the Senate is in session or will they leave that power to the Senate themselves?
I'm willing to bet if Obama gets to decide, any time 50% of the Senators are out of the Chamber even if they are in their offices or at committee meetings, the Senate will be deemed in recess so he can appoint his radical friends without any of their advice and consent.
For a claimed Constitutional Professor he sure seems to have a lot of lawsuits being filed against him for overstepping his Constitutional powers. I hope the Supreme Court lowers the boom on this power grabbing narcissist, as if they rule for him, NO LAW IS GOING TO BE SAFE, HE WILL OVERSTEP THEM ALL AND STAND THERE LAUGHING AT ANYONE THINKING THEY CAN STOP HIM. He is a very dangerous person and needs to be stopped before he EXECUTIVE ORDERS HIMSELF THE FIRST US DICTATOR.
