in regards to our drought.

The Coke company has asked that people reduce their consumption of Coke as they are cutting back on production/shift to conserve water!

Now, when you ask Southern folks to lay off the Coke....now them's tough times!!!

This is MAJOR!!!

Coors-- the Colorado Rockies still have water....

I watched a show on tv the other day-- really looks bad down there in the south....They were talking about some of the water not being able to be used by the towns- as they had to keep the river flowing to protect some kind of fish and mussel in Florida..

Looks like our predicted rain/snow is mainly going to go south of us now later this week...But its supposed to get a little chillier for a few days with highs in the 40's...

Cranes been going over every day- but they are usually early...Still not seeing any honkers heading south around here...

better change to pepsi then, lol

Pepsi is having to do the same thing.

Now it's a State Order from the Gov that all business must cut water usage by 10%.....just so we can keep sending water downstream to Mike and alabama for their endangered bivalves!!

Our Gov ( nice man) ran as Rep and was/is the first Rep gov since Reconstruction...a BIG DEAL here. He was all snuggy with GW...yeah...GW was his friend.

Now, for the last 18 months he's not been able to get GW to pick up the phone when he's called about the water release problems etc.

This part of Ga IS the water for most of the Southeast.

Send'er south there buddy! We are still dry here, even after receiving about 3 inches in September/October. The creeks are just a trickle and the rivers are showing their gravel bottoms. The guys that are plowing are turning up powder.

A huge contrast to a year ago right now when everything was mud, mud, mud and the rivers were roaring. We had mud from September to well into January.

SHORT TERM...FOR NORTHEAST MONTANA...TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY...
FORECAST FOCUS SHIFTS FROM CONSIDERING NEAR RECORD HIGH
TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON TO CONSIDERING HOW MUCH SNOW TO
EXPECT ON FRIDAY.
THIS CHANGE IN WEATHER IS CAUSED BY A MIDLEVEL TROUGH
PASSING THROUGH THE NORTHWESTERN CONUS REGION OVER THE NEXT 48
HOURS.

Temps today were in the high 70's, and 80's with one site west of Winnet reaching 86 (that area and west - Eastern Front- has a winter storm watch for 6-12 inches of snow for tomorrow night in the higher elevations and up to 6 inches in the lower areas- with a high temp of 30 degrees for Friday)...

GOOD OLD MONTANA

They are still saying most the snow and cold is going south of us--with a possibility of picking up 2 inches.....77 degrees here at 6PM....

It is very hard to believe Coke is cutting back on its one and only product due to a water shortage. Are you sure?

It's 5M...the pop of 'hot' " Lanta!!

Just so they don't start coming up here and trying to suck out our water is what I worry about!!!!  I might need you and your ' shooting iron' you love to wave about to keep off a few city slickers looking for water!!!!

Even with this drought...we're 24" below normal...the Army Corp of Eng is still releasing over 3BILLION gals of water a day to Alabama and Florida.. ( the Gulf area)...and they've got rain over the summer.
