O.K., it can quit raining for a bit now. About 4" in the past week and it's dumping hard outside my window right now.

The cows are starting to punch up the pasture where I strip graze and it's been down for 9 years. I guess I'll have to give them a big chunk tomorrow so the density drops.

The upside is that the grass and crops are growing like crazy with the heat we've been getting. Corn on the cob coming up this week! Everything is a week or more early this year.

Well it could be worse. The local news station reported this A.M. that a village 20 mile north east of us got 13" overnight and the power went out. That means no sump pumps running. Some basements were flooded to the floor joists.

We got 8/10" overnight making a total of almost 5" in the past 7 days. :shock:
