Obama and Paris Hilton

Seems Obama himself has compared his media coverage of past to Paris, why is he whining now that McCain did it?

A February 24, 2005, Washington Post article begins:

There's nothing exotic or complicated about how phenoms are made in Washington, and, more to the point, how they are broken.

"Andy Warhol said we all get our 15 minutes of fame," says Barack Obama. "I've already had an hour and a half. I mean, I'm so overexposed, I'm making Paris Hilton look like a recluse."

Mind showing us where he has refered to Paris Hilton so many times that makes you think he has a fantasy?
If I read this correctly it was Obama who made the last statement about Paris!!
Guess that missed you huh? In your hurriedly attempt to bash someone you forgot to actually read what was said!
Either that or your senility is getting worse by the day

There's a reason people run negative ads: they work. Republicans don't have anythng to run on, so they're doing what they always do: playing to the bigots and scaring tactics. Remember Harold Ford? His opponent's ads with the white woman saying "Call me, Harold" in TN? Remember Carl Rove calling Obama a "trash talker" and "lazy". All are sterotype comments aimed at bigots. Now the McCain ads are suggesting he's "uppity". You know, there's nothing worse than an uppity black man. We'll see more of it. I hope Obama will call them out on it.

If anything I think his ad makes fun of people like you. Comparing you to the same type of people that ewww and awwww over a non talent like Paris Hilton. Showing how smart you guys really are, to ewwww and awwww over a non accomplisher like Obama.

The man has never faced a tough vote, the only one he ever came up against back in Illinois was about Partial Birth Abortion and he voted Present.

Obama is just like Paris, famous for being famous, I think the ad was funny and smart people will get the point of it!

“Have you seen the new commercial? The McCain campaign compares Barack Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. And today the Obama campaign released an ad comparing John McCain to Zsa Zsa Gabor and Bea Arthur.” -Jay Leno

“McCain campaign is running that commercial where they’re comparing Barack Obama to various Hollywood celebrities. And as you know, if there’s one thing the Republicans will not stand for, it’s electing some Hollywood celebrity to public office. Except for Ronald Reagan, Fred Thompson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Clint Eastwood — you know, except for those.” -Jay Leno

Oh, the ad is aimed at certain people: racists and bigots. Republicans know exactly how to rile up the "good old boys". Bring out the Confederate flag, put an attractive white woman in the ad with more to come. Let's not talk about $4 gasoline, the Iraqi war, the Federal defecit, the number of people without health insurance, failing infastructure; let's make ads suggesting dark skinned men will take your women! McCain announced he was running for president on the Jay Leno show last year. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his candidacy on Leno, as did Fred Thompson....celebrities all. I do believe McCain's feelings are hurt because he's no longer the celebrity war hero. His policies and programs are George W. Bush's policies and programs. No wonder he's attacking Obama instead of talking about what he plans to do.

What is Obama going to call them out on? This is a negetive ad? Maybe McCain ought to air Wright's sermons? And a liberal insisting that there just has to be racism involved in the rejection of Obama.

Could it be that people are turned off because he's a marxist? No
Could it be that, if you can ever get him pinned down on a topic, he's subject to flip on that opinion? No
Could it be that he's bold-faced lied to America? No
Could it be that he associates with crooks and racists? No
Could it be that he has no experience? No
Could it be that he has shown an incredible naitivity in world affairs? No
Could it be that his only accomplishment is that of being an "organizer"? No

It just HAS to be that he's black - that's the only reason.

Have you seen a John McCain ad suggesting he's a Marxist?
Have you seen an ad suggesting he's flipped on something John McCain hasn't also flipped on?
Have you seen an ad calling him a bold faced liar?
Have you seen an ad saying he associates with croops and racists?
He has all the experience necessary.
His world tour looked like a resounding success to me. Hard to make a negative ad about that.
The only "accomplishment" of Bill Clinton was being elected governor of AR. He was still a very successful president.

McCain is spending more money running the Paris ad than any other. That tells you where this campaign is headed.

Obama's been losing ground in the polls ever since his "world tour". That is a resounding success?   I hope he has more of those resounding successes.

Obama doesn't have the experience to have the job he has now. He's proved that with his ignorance of basic economics and the world stage.

Bill Clinton was convicted of perjury and impeached. Those are measures of success?

McCain is gaining in the polls. That tells you where his campaign is headed.

I guess in my part of the country we haven't seen as much of the outright racism- with the states population of blacks being only about .5% of the total population...Most the blacks in my county (10-12) are/have been retired military...

But I do know it exists...I went downtown D.C. one time with several law enforcement guys- one was a Sheriff from Oklahoma- and we were touring the Smithsonian Buildings- and I thought he was going to get us all killed...I knew things were going to be bad when we were walking down the street- and we met a very big black man holding hands with a white woman and about as loud as he could he started yipping about it- and how they don't allow that back home - and how it seems they always like blondes... I couldn't distance myself from that feller fast enough...

Heck yes, racism exists. Listen to Wright's sermons..... or ask Obama - no wait, you won't get a straignt answer - just listen to Wright's sermons. You'll get a huge dose of racism and even hear the applause and cheering from the racists in attendance .......

Obama is qualified to be President of the United States.

I judge a presiden't success by my success and my country's success. There's no doubt that me and my country were both better off when Clinton left the White House than we'll be when Bush leaves the White House. You may not like it, but it's the truth.

Most polls are showing a close national race. But as we remember from the Gore-Bush race, the popular vote doesn't decide who's president. The Electorial College does. And if it's a tie there, it goes to Nancy Pelosi.

We all see that you're changing the subject away from McCain's ads. Too funny.

In my quest to decide who to vote for I have to say for Obama to not know how many states are in the country he's trying to run.........that is unsettling.

Barack Obama has chosen his running mate. It was announced today that he has selected Sylvester Stallone as his choice for Vice President. They will run as "Sambo & Rambo".

He has also reported that Nancy Pelosi will be his Secretary of State, so then it will be "Sambo, Rambo & Bimbo."

Harry Reid has been selected to be Attorney General and you guessed it, "Sambo, Rambo, Bimbo and Dildo."

So would this also be considered racism on your part Sandhusker.or is it ok for you to print this because your white? It seems that you are just as bad at promoting racism as rev wright is.....( above quote is from thread titled Obama chooses running mate)

I don't like to get involved in you kids' squabbles but.......Obama isn't black.

He may be a lot of things, but he's not "black."

I'm not going to copy and paste some long, boring, dull newpaper article to substantiate this.....you'll have to do your research.
